I know a highly skilled man and woman who had taken a job in the NHS, HTA, entry level just so they can say they are in work and keep some dignity and yet we have the youth who have never worked not even looking at these jobs because they are not cool, well paid or they have to wear a uniform.....i now others who started at entry level and had received training which help them advance not just once but a couple times, to , what is known as a band 4, roughly just over 30k providing you have +3 yrs experience. Not only that they have the option to work on what is known as the "the bank" for additional hours, which when done with some thinking and organisation of your private life can be rewarding. I'm not for one minute saying this work is easy, but what i am saying not only is there jobs there is also more work to help you get that deposit, etc....

Skier1, lets not window dress this as we, UK, now has a work ethic problem which is pathetic, people expect help, assistance from local and national governments, we simply cannot carry on in this fashion... they need a reality check and not a government cheque every month...

We also have the AI boon that is not only costing jobs in well established , rich, companies but no doubt future jobs as well. The world need to take a step back before taking that leap of faith. I have already witnessed this in the sector and it will get worse before it gets better, us mere mortals around the globe are told it's "transition" , when in actually fact it's redundancy on a mass scale. these CEO's are throwing Bi$$ions at AI and at the same time making people redundant . some big tech firms saying throwing a bi$$ion at AI that fails is still a good investment as the rewards for whoever gets it right are off the scale...

ASI, yes, correct and the description you put forward, "Global Storm" is no more than common sense that describes the situation. sheeples tend to window dress the current problems / headwinds we are faced with just to slate the opposition. World is on a knife edge, nationally we are lacking resources, knowledge and the will, globally we are relying on Trump to pull this off or the markets will punish us all.

Are you attributing that to 2yrs of Labour party or 14yrs of Conservative, 5PM's, party or perhaps or maybe it's Business Cycle, high energy prices due to the war between Ukraine & Russia, US tariffs saga, ridiculous commercial property prices, lack of private investment or we have other options such as private equity the looming crisis yet to unfold, etc, etc ...and now we have this oil crisis, which will have an impact throughout 2026 and probably beyond...

STP, this war has the potential to collapse the markets, Houthis only have to hit the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, "Gate of Tears".. as well as the Strait of Hormuz

Two choke holds that if hit will stop global trade and the impact would be immediate and long lasting....

STP the war takes precedent on any BB as it is so relevant to not just UKX, DOW but the Global economy...i would rather see and read post about Iran than be witness to a BB seance....

This BB is far better for info and only a couple of posters are actually posting. On the Lloy BB they are having a seance! poster trying to give another poster a reading ffs...seriously, it's mad!

"reign down hell" when he also stated that if we, UK, or any other country want oil etc, etc then we ALL need to do it ourselves .....or buy it from US.

I say we go get it after all haven't the USA made enough out of supplying LNG since Russia invaded Ukraine....and we blame Russia for our high energy costs....nevertheless Iran's regime needs to be taken out, so get it done and stay off the social media.

whatever Trump does or says the Iranian regime, whoever they are, will seek revenge on the West. Trump efforts to steady the markets could backfire.

As for Barc, we all know it has its own issues also the UK is becoming a basket case by the day and so i'm weary about the markets...

happy to see this play out a bit longer as it's not about price, rather direction and to be honest the outlook doesn't look great...

what does, "much less radicalised" even mean, seriously.
