Mr Booth - 363 posts in the last 30 days and 1,167 posts since the end of March 2021 - that is mental! Who gives up so much time and energy on a chat board? and I believe he's prolific on other boards too - wow, truly obsessive. There's now more chat entries per day than there are share trades on FUM, that's got to be a first for a share chat. I keep checking in on FUM and I feel the pain for you holders having had this board taken over for so long. FUM is now a small speck in the rear view mirror for me but I do wish all holders much future success if the BoD can get this over the start line and in to production. There’s some big money coming into the cultivated meat sector. I know ANIC are not invested in future meat but this demonstrates that big money is flowing into this sector now and will only continue to do so. 2022 and beyond should be pretty transformational for ANIC. A real landmark for the business will be the first IPO of a portfolio company - Would be great to get some portfolio news this side of Christmas to bolster the share price a little.

If it’s true that the Nov 21 warrant shares can’t be held in an ISA then I won’t subscribe to the placing. I think I’ll just buy double my subscription number on the open market at 22p now and be done with it. I’d like to keep all my holdings within my ISA for simplicity.

I did clock that late trade, it was a big one for sure - people in Anic are not afraid of dealing in big numbers that’s for sure.

Stewie8 - I think I will buy into the subscription at 23p for the option of future warrants at 30p. My entitlement is only 3571 shares (£821) which isn’t big money at 23p or 30p. Would be nice to know I can buy at a good discount I in the future when they go past 40p, which I’m confident they will.

Might be worth buying through the subscription at 23p now for the future rights to the November 21 warrant shares at a later date. Can anyone confirm the November 21 warrant price. I thought they were about 30p - does that sound right? If this goes up past 40p next year and you have an option to buy more at 30p that would be a nice position to be in wouldn’t you agree.

Cheers Italian, God no, that would be awful if that muppet turned up on this board. He's killing (killed) the FUM board, it just awful over there now. There's now more share chat than share trades being made. I keep looking in from time to time but I'm delighted I sold out at 47p and put that one in the rear view mirror - one of my better decisions. Stewie8, you'll be fine with a 27p average as I know I will be longer term, I'm only at 26.5p average myself but hold 100k shares so every penny change is a £1k swing for me, hence 32p down to 22p stings a little. A few new tasty investments and Mellon the Marketing Man goes into bat and this will gain new traction in 2022 I'm sure. It's easy to look at the graphs in hindsight and say I should have waited and bought in later, my first trade was at 28p and then watched it dip to 19p - just keep buying on the dips and we'll be fine. Trying to time the market is impossible in my experience.

Cheers RWT2, I understand it's not like many dilutions. (FUM for e.g. where the money is just to keep the lights on and keep inept directors in over inflated salaries year after year). Ours is to build on investments for the future good of the business which can only be a good thing. They must have some pretty specific investments lined up to raise extra funds now when the must have still had £30m+ left from the earlier fundraising.

It just smarts a little when you watch a £10k swing from profit to loss in 3-4 weeks. Your sentiment towards a stock changes under those circumstances. I'm not prepared to try and trade in and out of ANIC on the peaks and troughs as it's guessing game and I've always said I'm here for the long haul. I've got a few quid left in this FY's ISA allowance so I may have another top up if this goes back under 20p. Wishing you well idg69

I appreciate the BoD have an investment strategy and dilution is inevitable with this type of company but I'm now pretty miffed by this latest fundraise. Why didn't they invest what they had before coming back to the market for more so soon after the last one? It fills me with a little confidence that the subscription was filled so quickly, but I'm sure they already had investors lined up anyway.

I agree 5-10p will not be seen again but 15-20p could be if sentiment drops any further. I'm mostly miffed because I topped up again at 25.5p when I could have bought 10 days later for 22p - just poor timing I suppose. I don't think there'll be many takers for the 23p open placing if you can buy on the open market for 22 or less.

Let's hope we get some positive news flow off the back of the next round of investments and we can get this back up and over 30p again - before Christmas would be nice!

Nothing to be forgiven for, I was thinking exactly the same. Why didn't they invest what they had, bolster the share price with some good news stories early 2022 from the portfolio companies, and then do a placing at 33p and not 23p in the spring - simples don't you think?

I'm sure they've got their reasons that us lowly PI's are not privy to.

This latest RNS is all very positive but where is the environmental permit approval? It was intimated that this would be in the 3rd quarter and we’re now in the last month of the 4th quarter. Will the Moroccan government wrap it in a bow and present it to us a Christmas present? Would be nice to go into 2022 with that important milestone ticked off the list.

Hi Gonsan, I agree with you about the variety we have within the cell ag portfolio, such as materials, proteins, cotton, cocoa, etc and I understand Jim Mellons view that cell ag will have patented IP so it can be monitised and protected better than plant based products but there's still some serious money to be had in that area. He and his team know what they're doing so I'm sure we're in safe hands. I also think they should have been in Beyond, Eat Just , Oatly and Impossible 5 years back at seed level and not now. Easy to say that now though with the blessing of hindsight.

I'm also liking the 10% bounce off this mornings low.

Buckle up it's going to be a red day on the markets today. It's certainly going to be a black Friday as far as getting your hands on some cheap shares today. I'm not seeing any green numbers on my screen today.

One area where I do think ANIC are missing a trick is in the meateoric (get it, ‘meat’ eoric) rise of plant based meat replacement foods, future farms, beyond, impossible, etc etc. If we’d had a proportion of our portfolio invested in those a few years back as well as developing cell ag companies we’d be seeing some big returns now as they’re seeing explosive growth and have reached commercialisation and price parity very quickly. They would have sat comfortably alongside cultured meat but got to market far quicker - just a thought, what do others think about this?

Very surprised this has gone under 25p. I expected that would now be a low for this share. Certainly no logic or reasoning as to this drop from 32. No negative news has been issued so I’m as surprised as everyone else. I topped up to my optimum number at 25.5p so I’ll just have to ride this dip out until blue skies return.

It’s a tricky share in many regards as they have no productive assets at this point bringing in revenue/profit and non of the portfolio companies have ipo’d so they are difficult to value. We really are early stage investors in an industry that hasn’t reached commercialisation so must expect a spiky ride as sentiments around the industry rise and fall. PI’s are also easily spooked and panic sell on these dips exacerbating the problem. A few good news stories from the portfolio companies or an ipo muted from Blu Nalu and this will change on a sixpence. Keep the faith, keep calm and composed and top up on the dips as there’ll be plenty along the journey. Idg69

Evening Stewie8, yes EML is Emmerson, it’s another 3-5 year play for me. Things are starting to fall into place for them. Moroccan based and with the African population forecast to double by 2050 they’re going to need to grow a whole lot more food and potash is going to be in high demand. It’s been a spiky ride but generally heading in a northerly direction.

From a quick look over their website Cult Food Science looks like a poor North American relation to Agronomics in my humble opinion. The only cross over with ANIC is Ohayo Valley which is a minnow in the ANIC portfolio. Would be interesting to know what sort of money they have invested in their portfolio stocks? They could become a big investment play but I think I'll stick with Jim Mellon right now, he's got a pretty good track record wouldn't you say?

Hi Stewie8, yes I’m pretty confident overall. My 75% holding is now a little less after the recent drop In anic and a rise with another stock (EML). Having read the RethinkX report on food and agriculture I believe we are on the cusp of a huge disruption in animal agriculture both from plant based and cellular agriculture. I’m ok with the recent drop as I’m thinking long term. Anic is also invested in many different companies so the risk is spread. If a few fail it’s not the end of the world, a couple of ipo’s and we could be laughing all the way to the bank.

Evening Stewie8, it was about 25% in monetary value, but I’ve had a reshuffle and it’s now 75% which is extremely high I know. It won’t stay that way as I’m at my optimum number of shares now so will be holding and not topping up any more. I’m now building positions in other stocks which will spread my risk across other sectors. I’m more than confident holding Anic for the next 3-8 years minimum. 3 years takes me to 55, 8 years to 60 and I’ll monitor carefully along the way. I like the long view on Rolls Royce right now and think I’ll be building a position there over the next 6-12 months.
