Delighted to get a low cost top up opportunity at 19.5p this morning at 8am. What's your target holding watsonwatson? I'm nudging 110,000 shares now and looking to add more before the end of March should funds allow.

It’s not painful at all it’s a great top up opportunity. I’ll be buying more first thing Monday morning. I only see these dips as buying opportunities and nothing to concern myself over. If it goes even lower I’ll just buy a few more. Investment in this sector is only going to increase in the coming years and these dips are only to be expected in this fledgling sector.

I’ve read quite a bit about Future Meat over the last 12 months and it’s one company I wish Agronomics were invested in. From media coverage I’ve seen they appear to be making huge technological advances and cost reduction strides. All very positive stuff for the cell-ag industry. There are so many companies out there now in this space it’s going to be harder to sort the wheat from the chaff. Exciting times ahead for this industry.

Panic over - my ANIC shares have thankfully re-appeared in my ISA this morning and normal service can resume. In 10 years of trading on iWeb that has never happened before and I was pretty alarmed. Maybe they were doing site maintenance over the weekend and a glitch crept in, who knows.

I’m seriously spooked this morning. just logged in to my Halifax iWeb isa account to find my 105,000 ANIC shares have completely disappeared! Not showing at all and no historical trade data is showing for ANIC either. Has anyone out there experienced this? I can’t contact anyone until Monday and I’m pretty spooked by this.

Big thanks for posting the links to both the 2020 and 2022 reports. I was positive on EML before reading these, even more so now. I’ll be topping up over the coming months and happy to hold for 3-5 years.

I’m not worried about the plant based meat replacements growing at such a rate. We haven’t even reached peak meat yet and more meat eaters are being born everyday (sadly) The meat market is approx 1.3 trillion dollars per year and growing. Cell ag will sit comfortably alongside plant based alternatives and both will hopefully reduce our reliance on the current abhorrent animal agriculture industry. Happy to be invested here and will continue to build on my current position throughout the year. Would like to see some regular and positive news flow from the portfolio companies throughout the year.

Plant based foods - I raised this subject of ANIC not being in this sector recently and it was rightly pointed out that whilst it’s a huge growth area it doesn’t have the IP that cell ag will have. Mellon and his team know what they’re doing and staying true to cell ag and precision fermentation will be the way to go I’m in no doubt. I firmly believe that 2022 - 2025 and beyond are going to be transformational in this sector. This is a very strong buy and hold for me. Interesting articles in the Times regarding very poor quality and blistering artificial leather in Tesla cars. Come on Vitro labs get yourself scaled up for commercial production asap. The market for cellular leather must be massive. Another great portfolio company destined for really big things.

Interesting proposition gonsan. I've been deliberating the very same thing myself. My son turned 18 in Aug with a very healthy CTF that has matured and now sat in an adult tracker ISA not doing much. He feels stronger than I do on the animal welfare, environmental and health perspectives of veganism and he's keen to plough into ANIC big time. Whilst I'm extremely optimistic on ANIC I worry about all the family eggs being in one basket. Maybe start with a £5k initial purchase and then drip feed in. Even if cell-ag makes no in-roads into existing animal husbandry the additional meat requirement projections for the growing population are absolutely massive. The risks are also spread over 16-18 portfolio companies too so it's really not like ploughing into one company - that's what I tell myself anyway. Let me know what you decide to do. I'm going to think about it over the Christmas break and decide in the new year (with my sons permission of course).

Cheers flundra and congrats on the subscription shares and warrants. Any ANIC shares under 25p are a long term bargain IMHO. I'm comfortable with my capital being tied up in ANIC for the foreseeable as I have no thoughts of selling any in the next 5 years. I appreciate there's risk in any/all investments but a feel more confident in ANIC than any of my other investments. This is my bottom drawer retirement share and if it takes 5 or 10 years it's really no problem to me. My days of looking for a fast buck are firmly behind me, I've been burnt twice before and learnt my lesson. Wishing you well idg69

I bought both my subscription and warrant entitlement in one hit on the open market at 20.54 rather than 23p - why wouldn’t you? Was going to hold at my current holding but I think I’ll just keep adding more up to 30p and see where I’m at before the end of March. Keen to start building a Rolls Royce position over the next 12 months.

That seems like a sensible approach to take. What age are you? (if that’s not at an impertinent question) mazk231 said he is 60 so will get out of dairy unscathed. I don’t think cell-ag will scale up and commercialise for another 2-3 years but when it gathers pace and fda/usda/euro approvals are granted I suspect it will be like an unstoppable train. Whilst I’m happy to be invested and will welcome the financial gains it pains me to think of the individuals/families who will suffer as a result of this disruptive industry. The RethinkX paper really makes you think how wide the disruptive ripples will spread for animal and non animal agriculture alike.

Evening Mazk, definitely don’t do that (obviously), but I strongly believe your industry is going to see the ongoing disruption by plant based dairy only accelerate when precision fermentation comes on stream. You are clearly in a very difficult situation and I don’t envy

I'm liking the sound of £10 per share - I'll be a millionaire - happy days ahead. I'd better keep on buying.

MAZK231 - The Methane reduction won't offset the copious amounts of untreated animal sewage poisoning our waterways. It won't offset the huge amounts of feed and land these animals require. It won't offset the barbarism in the dairy industry and the slaughter house workers distress. It won't offset the 80% of the worlds antibiotics going into the industrial animal industry just to keep these inherently sick animals alive long enough to kill and eat them.

Agriculture can fight back all it likes, it won't and shouldn't win this or any battle and will ultimately lose the war. It will take many years but cell-ag and precision fermentation will make huge strides in making an abhorrent industry redundant - I hope for futures generations sake. Our children and grandchildren will look back in future years in shame at todays animal husbandry practices.

Joe666 - I agree but sadly there are many hard hearts and stupid minds in society today, and in many regards society appears to be coming more stupid as the years progress - or do I just see the wrong stuff in the media?

Morning Stewie8, the wind appears to have been taken out of our sails since announcing the fundraising early December, but I’m sure it will blow hard and strong in the coming months. I’ve just bought some more at 20.5p this morning considerably cheaper than the 23p placing price and will buy again before the month end. It may go sub 20p who knows. I missed the 19p dip in September and regretted it so thought it best I top up now. My wife will just have to wait for the January sales for her Christmas gift. I’m in the red on ANIC now but not concerned at all for the long term. Wishing you well whatever you decide to do.
