Twice Iran negotiated with the US and whilst negotiating America attacked them.

Now Trump says they are holding talks (that Iran disputes) as America sends troops into the region.

The markets seem to believe the great mis-leader of the free world. I’m not sure I believe him. I am sure Iran do not believe or trust him…

Troops should be in place towards the weekend….

Yeah Mott all my chat is irrelevant really. If the war ends tomorrow the flow of Helium from the gulf will not be back to pre-war flow rates for years.

The problem Trump has is that twice they negotiated with the US and they were bombed. Iran are in no hurry to negotiate and don’t trust America.

Meanwhile the Iranian army spokesman is mocking Trump. It really feels like the Trump is desperate to say ‘we win it’s over’ but the truth feels different

Trump has said they have had productive discussions with Iran and so strikes on power plants are delayed 5 days.

Oil down, HEX seems to have had a sell off.

But …. Iran has not confirmed any talks. There are rumours Iran threatened hitting power station in west Asia if the IS attacked theirs and what did Taco do? Taco backed off (stating ‘positive’ discussions)

None of this changes the strikes that have happened that means Helium supplies are reduced for a long time - even if the straits are open.

On that - supposedly Iran has stated the straits are open. I’m not sure if some of the message was missed off

I’m not convinced the straits are truly open to everyone.

Just about any share I watch or hold is down today. Even the oil and gas ones. Everything except for this helium balloon … which is nice.

I just can’t see a better stock to hold right now.

Totally agree about North Sea oil and gas it’s about as stupid as bombing a country and saying you’ve destroyed the nuclear capability…. Obliterated. Then going back less that a year later to stop them getting the bomb - and taking out their leader who was against nuclear weapons.

I suspect this is his way of getting the best deal. No doubt there are deals on the table. Bo isn’t impressed and will have said no we will find other buyers. He his is a sellers market.

That LinkedIn post will be to panic the clients into improving the deal (or they have to find the helium elsewhere).

American dominance has largely been driven by the strength of the dollar as the world reserve currency.

Part of the strength of the dollar is from the petro-dollar (what is oil valued in and paid for in? - dollars)

Trump may chicken out of the war whilst shouting ‘I win’ at a world that knows he did not win - but Iran will want to leave a bloody nose and to weaken the US. The best way they can do that is to keep hitting shipping unless the oil and gas is paid for in another currency, the Yuan.

A weak dollar means a weak USA and a lesser threat to Iran in the future…

They do fall at the start of a crash, yes. Some money rotates out of everything into fiat initially.

Then money rotates from fiat looking for a better return and into gold and silver. So gold and silver will catch a bid but the market is only starting to break down and gold and silver still have further to fall.

I am investing in this market but not to gold and silver. Not yet. There’s an obvious sector that isn’t crashing.

My post was intended to be a moral boost to anyone holding here. You’ll do ok in the long run, gold and silver will bounce back. I guess it wasn’t obvious.
