I have the ft and I can't find this article
Ah. Thanks HH and SJ.
"It is expected that current shareholders will subscribe for the majority of the raise".
The above quote is in relation to My Protein going standalone.
Why would we be expected to subscribe. We already own it as shareholders of THG do we not. So, what would the "raise" actually be?
Rumour from where, I take it you are allowed to say? (wink, wink)
Apollo has $548bn assets under mgt. Buying THG is an easy deal.
Really, why are people selling. This is the real deal. Short term greed!!
And Hosai of course :)
Wow Canary, what a memory. Kudos. Or is that just Sunday afternoon wine for me.
"We note that Liberum, an independent broker, in their research note published in February 2023, estimated the "sum of the parts" to be 221 pence per share (actual price target was 55p) but highlighted that this valuation is only relevant if appropriate actions are taken by management and the board, a comment with which we agree".
But, we are all waiting on that 'appropriate action' are we not.
And I might add, Kelso just valued the Sum of the Parts at 221. That for me, and Kelso, is the starting point.
DIOR
Interesting that a lot of investors here have a average price of under £1 or even under 50p. My avarage is 107. Still low I think relative to the heady days of the IPO and immediately after. I'm sure a great deal of holdings are still over 400-500. Doesn't Terry Leahy still have about £67m at about IPO price.
Anyway, for this to be sold to anyone or a MBO, it really needs to be at a realistic price. Especially as 170 was derided so much.
So, I would agree with those that say any personal exit price as to be at a minimum of 250-300.
What GMV fee does THG apply. Previously someone on here stated 1%. Seems low as Amazon apply 2% and Etzy 4%. Knowing this % would help in Net Profit guidance
Far too many Ads and why is it my posts disappear and are seldom added. Money perhaps!!
Well, what are thg waiting for? I thought we were going to get some big news this week.
Separation, divisional sale, II's, premium listing, whale, us listing, MBO, boots, etc, etc and nothing.
I still think it's coming, but what triggered the excitement this week? Come on MM.
Anyone seen the Ocado results today. THG are stellar in comparison. We should be £5.
What a difference a couple of weeks make.
Given that Mon will be 15th Aug, then today marks the last say before commencing the Closed Period. So don't expect to hear anything after today.
Seriously, is anyone really surprised by the contents of this RNS. SOFTBANK were never going to excise that option, and renegotiate it to what. And we knew the Divisions were being separated for strategic options.
I think what is unwelcome is any negative SP movement. But come on, the RNS means things are progressing. Be patient.
Furthermore, I do not believe that MM would have let the Chairman invest £1m of his own money if there were any up coming negative issues about the company. MM knows 86p was a great price for the Chairman to get in at and is a way for MM to allow him to be rewarded for coming on board.
I've just added a lot more; getting my average way down in the process. People get very worried when a share is cheap but there are two things that I feel sure about with this.
First, Lord Allen invested £1m of his own money. That's his own money!!!! You don't take a NED position and use it as an opportunity to throw your own money away. Secondly, I personally know Zillah. She is a qualified CA and a very smart, upright and honest character. She would not be an NED for any business she had dubious concerns about. If these two insiders think this business is OK, then so do I.
No wonder Aymen donated to the Tories, he knows how to back losers!
