I think this is all going to reverse from the 24th onwards. We are at the bottom. Just hold for 3 more weeks and the SP will start it's move north. Once the SFO clears out and there is no reason that should not happen this year, then it is all over for the Shorters.

Set upper LIMIT SELL ORDERS AT 400 MIN. Then the Shorters have nothing to play for.

If you all recall, after the SFO launched it's investigation in May '17 to the time Market collapsed as a result of the pandemic in Feb'20, the PFC share price was range bound between 660 and a floor of 400. Irrespective of News and a high % of Shorts, it stayed like this.
I know things have happened since, but as we return to 'normality' later in '21 I do expect PFC to at least get back to 400. With the SFO closing, I would be looking for 600.

What's going on with this website. The closing price is 227.3 not 222.9 and the trade time showing on this page at 18.14 is 15.11pm??

There is also an obvious disconnect here between Barclays 147 target and the Short % at about 3.6%.
The Shorts were over 8% as late as last October.
If this SP was so insecure and hence likely of a significant fall then wouldn't the Short Positions % be moving well upwards. If the shorts don't move north to reflect Barclays view, then, that's all it is, one Analysts view.
Something to watch in the coming months.

It's funny isn't it, in June '20 the Broker Jefferies quoted a target price of 825. I didn't notice anyone taking that too seriously and the SP rocketing up to meet 825.

This is simply Barclays betting on a worse case scenario.

If Barclays are serious then it looks like they expect the May Report for Balance Sheet and Income Statement adjustments to be worse than expected i.e. at the lower end. Note, the 'expected adjustments' were already baked into the share price. And, the BOD and other Institutional investors bought into that SP. I guess all we can do now is wait for other news and May's report.

Here we go now, the bounce is coming, on and up, fill your boots, all in, up we go, this week is it, it's hit the bottom, what a strong business, up it is going, onward 250 then 350 then 1000, it's about to start ..... here we go now ....get ready, but more, last chance to top up .........errmmmm .. oops....maybe next week :)

The last broker low forecast was Sept '20 at 110. In spite of all that has happened since then no one has come out with a forecast lower than that, touch wood. No Forecast under 100 !! So, another sign that we really are at the low point.

Interestingly for this share, over the last two years the highest forecast has been 900 and lowest (recently) was 270. Since the recent down turn no Broker has come out with a lower forecast. And here we are at 208. I appreciate the BOD gave no financial guidance but the Analysts are smart enough when they want to be. So, the 270 is the on going 'Low' .... touch wood.

I recall this with Anglo American. I bought it that year at 740, got worried (OK Panicked) and sold at 780. It then fell to about 340 and I gave myself a pat on the back. Only then to watch it over the next few years go to over 2800.

Motley Fool telling us what we already knew this morning; re the Balance Sheet and Income Statement review. He was speculating that a Rights Issue may be in the offing. We could all make these guesses, and that's what it was at this stage. What he interestingly failed to mention was the BOD share buys yesterday. These share buys weren't the usual cynical couple of thousand, but a reasonable investment by some directors. And thus, indicting that the shares at 200 were good value.

I would lose all my confidence in this company, if this year the share price suffers a major collapse due to a Rights Issue after these BOD share buys. It would signal the BOD were being highly manipulative with their own money and hoping to recover it other ways later on or, they truly did/do not understand what's going on in their company.

I think that, the rational conclusion is that the BOD know enough about the Accounts to know that a Rights Issue is not on the cards, And, that this is simply and opportunity for a new Board to clear out some issues which in themselves would not fundamentally change the well being of the company. Some write downs on the Balance sheet and the dropping or renegotiation of some unprofitable contracts. These accounting changes are now already baked into the price. We should then look forward to some share price doldrums and recovery to start later in the year.

Finally, one more observation. I don't see lots of Hedge Funds diving in here to Short the SP. Which means, there is not a general market view that this SP is likely to crash further. Why haven't the existing Shorters closed? They don't need to for some months yet.

My thoughts exactly. To add a fine on top of all other losses would be kicking a business when it is down. I'm not convinced at all there will be a fine.

Just been looking at the average length of an SFO full case life, not just length of prosecutions. It is 4 years and 7 months. (2010-19). PFC has been with them for 4 years now. Personally, I wouldn't get out of PFC as we could see an end to this at any time and then a very rapid and high rise in SP.

No .... you are right. So on current numbers the post RI price is about 50p. However, depends what the actual price is immediately pre RI and what news/sentiment is post RI.
