RE: RNS and share price1 Aug 2018 22:00
"I see this as part of my retirement pot, finish with the RAF in 2020 and this may go some way to paying off my mortgage at that point. Would like 10m but might have to settle for my 6.6m!"
1,888.730 shares in issue for AXM.
286 = 1,888.73m / 6.6m
Only 286 people can retire with 6.6m shares each, even if we wanted to share.
How many retirements worth is left, available to buy?
I was chatting to a ski travel agent on a Tuesday, for a last minute one week half board deal departing that Saturday.
Full price was £1,100 per person, but it was down to £600 already: late snow that year. The agent said the usual drill was £50 off per day, so expect £550 on Wednesday, if it hadn't sold, and bottom price will be £500 on Thursday. Sure enough, I called up Wednesday afternoon, and the price was £550, and the agent was breezy about I can wait till Thursday. I decided it was a good deal already, so paid £550 on Wednesday.
Really good deal, free parking for a week in Gatwick included!
When I got chatting in the chalet, it turns out a couple in one of the other rooms had a friend, who wanted to come too. The couple paid the Monday price, so probably £1,300 = £650 x 2, but the friend had to wait for the £500 on Thursday, because he was a cheapskate. As a consequence, I got the room, and he didn't. It started snowing as we arrived, just the best snow deal ever.
So, the rest of you approaching retirement, will you be the penultimate, the ultimate, AXM retiree, or the hundreds of thousands who wish they are? In the end, there can be only 10, 20, 30?
Based on nothing whatsoever, my guess is you can pick up 200million for 0.15p or less.
Quite a few of us are not sharing, remember? ;-)
