Thats exactly the issue,Institutions are forced sellers to ethically cleanse the balance sheet and exemplify the current meme of good corporate goverance.Private investors are taking up some of the slack and this dance will continue until a conflict resolution path is found.Add on weakness as long as cash is not needed for the foreseeable future seems to be the best approach for those with the stomach for it.

Realpoitik to prevail eventually as the Us and Russia reluctantly engage in meaningful dialogue,Fed to very,very gradually withdraw stimulus in spite of high inflation citing geo political risks.
Us markets to have one last blow off top into the Spring 2023,sell the rip and do not come back in St legers day.
When the s/p500 gets close to 6k then I will consider selling.

The best thing would be for Poly to call a force majeure and suspend that shares.
This would pre-empt a possible forced delisting and give peace a chance to gain traction.

Ukraine/NATO/US eventually have to accept a de facto demilitarized zone.

People talk of sovereignty but would the US accept a heavily armed Communist Mexico aligned with Russia.
No they would not and any talk of a sovereign Mexico in this hypothetical case being able to do as they wish and completely ignore Uncle Sam would be met with derision .
Stop the bloodshed,Russia to pull back to its borders and let a Demilitarized neutral Ukraine bide there time until their aspirations can be met at a more opportune time.Its not ideal but in my view the only real option for now.

Far better any acquisition paid out of cash than debt,reasonable dividends will come in due course.A large divi wwas politically unpalatable
I am not a knee jerk seller here,in fact I will add if any significant weakness presents.
Its a bull market,thats all that matters,sentiment is positive.
Look at the markets,major war in Europe,Putin talking nuclear and barely a blip in the markets.
Cheap money is all that matters,S/P 500 6k will be the time I will be a seller.My view only and not advice.
Observe 2 : Certainty is never a good stance if the objective is to consistently make money in the markets,I trade on probabilities and not on my opinion,hence my cautious stance re swift.

I trade out of London so £ it is ,re swift I dont have the confidence and certainty of observe 2 that it will prevail long term,there is political pressure one side and the financial pressure on the other.
Lets put it like this,I am not a buyer of Russain/ukranian.kazakhstan assets for now !!!
Nice to see the market recovering but I expect high volatility until the fog of war lifts.

Looks like a re test of the breakout area is on the cards here folks @ £5.30 circa and dropping back into the trading range £5.40-£4.70.Its at the 20week MA,best to hold it.Weekly RSI is at 50 and pointing down.
Price action reflects a bout of unsurprising profit taking with technicals weakening.Anything around £4.70 is worth adding to.
As long as swift remains available to the Russians then markets should remain sanguine.Cheap money in a slowly rising rate environment is perfect for banks.My investment thesis is the Fed will back off after a few rises and esp if sub 4k is seen in the S/P500,the Feds love child, stay long until S/P500 6k and FTSE100 8k-10k.Euro Stoxx Bank index is a good proxy here also.
On Monday +/_ 10 % who can tell ? Not I !

My biggest fear is that the Chinese have given the nod in a quid pro arrangement with Putin ie you do your thing in Ukraine and we will do out thing in Taiwan.Not to be over alarmist but it is a concern.Look at what has happened Chinese Tech,I know there is a general tech sell off but big money has been pulling out of China for some time.
The West has no appetite for a major war,we are good at bombing the hell out of the middle East but a ground war against a formidable foe,no thanks.The Russians and Chinese know this.The world is a very dangerous place right now.

And as has already been stated,sanctions if anything should reduce supply to the diamond market.
Biggish hit on supply.smallish hit on the demand side and Gem D -18% at one stage.Who ever is selling here is mistaken in my opinion.Markets are supposed to be forward looking,on days like today it is pure fear.
May sense prevail and war be stymied.There was only one war in history that had to be fought and that was WW 2,the rest including this one is utter madness.My best guess is that Putin will pull back ,the Q is when and after how much blood is shed.

They should act immediately,if they need to raise £25m then a mix of a placing /RI and 50% some debt instrument thats non convertible to avoid further dilution and a further over hang of keen sellers.If they dont act quickly and give the market clarity then Truant2 et al will force them.
Management have very little market nous.

Technicals say down,unless an upside surprise Tues, I still think there is a possibility re test of the covid low major support @ £10.50 which would offer a good entry point if it held.
Of note,Friday was the lowest weekly close since Dec 2016 when the FTSE was at 7k.
So,I am bullish as a recovery play but short term I have no idea !!

Its IP was valued @£2 when a tie up with a US company to market and sell into the US market was being discussed,it fell through.
The marketing and sales experience at stx and its overall management of the financial market space is close to zero.
It needs to go back and try and find a US partner who knows what its doing.
There is decreasing confidence that it can go it alone even if it can raise more cash via placing RI or some debt instrument.
I think it would be prudent to let the market do what it will until hopefully a funding pathway is clear,money will be made from their IP ,just not clear it will be stx as a stand alone.Not meant as advice,just thinking aloud here.

Market is going to force some clarity here.
Are they going to raise or borrow,the numbers are too tight and they should have managed things better, ideally by saying they have a £20m facility which clearly they dont.If they cant borrow then at what price would a RI or placing be.......15p ??
I am long here at 34p and bullish but this year is critical and management needs to get out in front of events rather than be forced to react to market pressure.I wont be adding until the fog clears.

Brokers follow price and do not lead price,largely they are noise and have very little tradeable value.Your own view is just as likely to be wrong or right as any broker.
The one exception is if they have an outright "sell" as long as it was not a former house broker feeling peeved.
My guess is £20 will be seen in due course but current price action suggests otherwise.

Watch the volume,if it gets above 1m for a few days in a row then suspect we are in play.
We are trying to pierce the 20 week MA and RSI turning up and trying to break trend line resistance going back to the post covid high June 2021.With a bit of luck the market has bottomed fished and ready to let price follow fundamentals.

A slide in sterling and I would side with Adastra,its one of the few innovative companies in the FTSE 100.
Remember Arm Holdings in 2016,any further weakness and S&N is in play.
