Covid low £10.50, Bear target perhaps.

I doubt very much if the market would be overjoyed with Gemd acquiring Firestone.
With regards to short term attitude,not sure if that refers to moi or Gemd.
This company has done very little to ingratiate itself with private investors and has watched with an indifferent silence as the share price has gone from over £3 to under 25p in a decade, they seem to be unconcerned with the long or short term so dont think I should be either.Get the share price UP,thats all that matters.

Offload Ghangoo,forget Firestone and deliver a special dividend would be my preferred scenario.

Expect a lot of volatility between 6-8, there is a lot of supply here as there was between 4-6.Trapped bulls will exit here at break even or with a loss.As long as BIRG does not have 2 weekly negative bars in succession underneath the 20 week MA then the bull continues.Also,watch the weekly volume and the RSI.The RSI is currently at 70,it last turned down from 84 so one can expect profit taking.I do not intend to get shaken out unless there is clear price action evidence that sentiment has turned.Charts and indicators give a visual of sentiment and as an active trader for years they are far better than my hunch of what is likely to happen.What is also heplful is to use a proxy like the European banking index,FTSE 100 and the S/P500.
I largely use the S/P500.As stated in my previous post my working assumption is that one should stay long until S/P500 is circa 6k.The above is a probability function of around 70%,not perfect, and anything can happen so one always has to size appropriately esp for those who dont use stops which is not to be encouraged.In fact the ability to place stops in the right place is the greatest skill of all and nobody gets it right all the time such is the nature of markets.
Results are usually priced in unless there is a negative or positive shock and on average traders will take profits after a good run if they come in as expected.
This is NOT advice or an intention on my part to show superior knowledge of market functionality,just some strategies from one trader/investor who finds the above profitable.

Disappointing reaction to results,the market is illogical here unless as Cane Toad suggests there is something else at play.
My fear is that they are going to make a silly acquisition which may explain the price action.If thats not the case then sitting is the best way to proceed at this price level and await events.Technically it is weak,fundamentally it looks sound.

I built a reasonable position here around covid lows and intend to hold for 8 min. proxy S/P500 6k before the bull off 2009 low completes.After that it will be difficult to make money on the long side.
Mitegap,this is just my opinion and not intended as advice,my path is clear as above,however it depends on how big your size here relative to your account.If holding through the covid slump didnt cause too much stress then why sell now ?,if however it did and you are in very deep here,then maybe sell half and let the other half ride.Well done for holding during the worst of the covid lows,the next 18months will have big swings up and down but the demise of this bull is premature.

I did not say that it would fall to £10.50,I am long and said that I would not add to my position unless £10.50 was seen and held.
This has been very weak and as someone who has traded since 1988 I like to look at the downside before the upside.
There are no absolutes and certainties in this game,anything is possible but my assumption is that current price represents a decent entry point otherwise I would not be long.

Fundamentally it seem obvious,a temporary blip in growth due to Covid and that is my working assumption.
Market sentiment as illustrated by the technical picture is bearish however and cannot be ignored.
I have a decent size here @ £12.58 but would only add as per my previous post,I think a double bottom covid low test is not out of the question but it is a lower probability event otherwise I would not be long from £12.58

For this stock I trade the 20 week MAs looking at a 4-5 yr timeframe for analysis.
Technically it needs to have a close above this 20MA which it hasnt done since July last and get above £14 which is a trendline resistance going back to the pre covid top.It is either in an accumulation phase or it is ready for another leg lower to challenge the covid low at £10.50 which is a level of support that has to hold,will the market test it ??
From a fundamental view, It would appear that buyers are waiting for results.
The last 7months have seen significant under performance relative to the FTSE 100,this is the first time this has happened in over 20yrs and cannot be ignored no matter how bullish one feels.
Its a buy for me but I will not add unless the £10.50 area is tested and holds.

Those who do the things I indicated, which is practically most people at some stage in their lives,put pressure on the health system and cause increased mortality/morbibity by increasing waiting times.diagnosis etc.
We will have to disagree on this one but I would not like to live in a society that forced me to take a vaccine( I have taken them because on balance it is in my interest to do so ) whose long term safety is unproven and the private companies who make them and sell them did so only because they are indemnified by the state.

If one was to progress your position a little further then it could be argued that those who played sport should not have access to hip/knee replacements etc because it was their own dammed fault for incurring the injury,where would our investment here be then my friend ??
Today the unvaccinated,tomorrow the sportsperson,smoker,drinker,junk fooder,overweight,anorexic etc etc.
I think that the unvaccinated are taking an unnecessary risk but I most certainly would not force them to take the vaccine,in fact I think they probably have had enough restrictions placed on them in various countries already.
Lets hope the J Powell comes out some soothing words and settles the market.

However if it results in a breakout above the 20 MA with volume I would be a buyer.

It needs a weekly close above the 20week MA currently @10p as a minimum to attract buyers The 20 week MA is unsurprisingly
pointing south at an unsupportive gradient.The RSI is at 38 and trying to find support here.
The main area of support is the covid low at 7.7p which looks like it could be tested in due course.
The ideal set up here is some consolidation for a few months around the covid low,the RSI turning up after piercing 30,recapturing the 20week MA and breaking above this MA with volume.
The 20 week MA is important here as it has not been captured since the breakdown in March 2021 @17.5p.
I know a lot of investors do not hold much store in TA but even with a small amount of knowledge no one would have bought Bushveld once 17.5p broke.I am bullish this sector but sentiment is bearish and the charts express this bearish sentiment in the price action.
As long as a test of 7.7p holds buyers will surface,usual caveats apply.

I have a position just above current levels but would only add if £10.50 was seen and held as it is a key technical level.
Technically this is very weak and it is not a buy on technicals.
I dont expect £10.50 to be seen but it does look like a bear test target so a general market pull back could see that area tested again.

The bet is that the market is wrong,that business will recover as covid fades and that structurally this company is sound.
It seems so obvious,the markets are supposed to be forward looking,why has it not priced in the obvious ?
Technically,this has not traded above its 20week MA since July 2021,the FTSE100 was at 6900 then.
If one ignores the fundamentals and just look at the chart it is saying "dont touch me"
However,I am a bull here and would add if the covid low £10.50 is seen and holds,this is the line in the sand as this support goes back to 2014 and is key.

Think Mr Market knew there was something in the ether,the B&J story was good cover.
For now its best to wait and see,if Glaxo walks then Unil recovers and may be in a break up play themselves.
It looks more like an act of defense by Unil but for sure the city does not like all this debt.

Nice intra day reversal,its always more encouraging to see some US buying pm especially given Feds hawkish bent,however long that stance will last,I think a 10% slide in the S&P500 will get Nancy Pelosi to apply pressure as her bullish call options come under pressure,is not Capitalism a thing of beauty ???

The on going problem here is the low placing price.
Investors are and will de risk given the technicals as they take profit and this will continue until some knock out info confirms an upward sales trajectory and the balance shifts to holding for higher returns.There is still some disquiet that more cash may be needed if sales targets are not met and in particular the price at which more money would be raised.
I am bullish, but this really is a 2yr project from the placing until the true picture reveals itself and I would be surprised if everything goes to plan.
