Amers, still got the flairs and cowboy boots, Ben Sherman shirts, etc, pure nostalgia nothing fitts apart from the boots which when on with the added height of the heel made me about 6ft 4in tall and I never had any problem in ordering a drink from three back from the bar ... :-)

Aston, you have reminded me, we had a field owned by my friend's father and we did have an old Ariel Colt and a 2 stroke Bantam that the frame had cracked through just behind the engine and we welded it up enough to work again and did circuit after circuit annoying the neighbors in Warwick road in rayleigh, we were then donated a couple of old cars a Ford 100e and a 105 Anglia, the Ford 100e came with a valve car radio that had a separate vibratory power pack to generate the 350 volt HT supply, you turned it on and waited several minutes for it to warm up before radio Luxembourg came through, we also found this lovely new station Radio North Sea International.... as you say memories...

Morning Bellers, it was Yellow...migrated to a Honda SL125 in Silver, CBX550 F2 in Red fantastic bike that was until someone in a van in front indicated to turn left and as I was overtaking he turned right wiping out my front left fork and sending me on a trajectory into the nearest lamp post, total bike right off decided the danger in riding a bike is not me because of the other dozy motorists and gave it a rest for several years, did purchase a Yamaha 600 XT thumper for a bit of fun but the vibration gave rise to the expression "numb nuts" literally, and no good for a long ride...

Morning Gecko, hope you had a good weekend, I thought I would cut the lawn on Saturday and as I dug the mower out of the shed knocked an old oil tin off the shelf, on picking it up it was an old Castrol R 2 stroke oil can from my youth when we all played with Yamaha FS1Es, a thought crossed my mind and I added a cap full to the petrol in the lawnmower and proceeded to cut the lawn with that lovely reminiscent smell of the old days from watching the Rayleigh Rockets Speedway team ride at Rayleigh Wier Stadium and that lovely burnt castor oil aroma...

The Stadium closed in 1973 but from 1972 onwards Elton Johns Rocket Man song was always played over the Tannoy whilst they grouped up for the start, the good old days.......
