RE: As you wait for news here, Vast has a RNS...8 Jun 2020 13:33
Morning Pompyrod,
Yes, fine thanks for asking, I hope you are keeping well, not so nice this week, rather overcast with showers, hopefully, next week will be better although the grass has benefited from the rain.
I was trying to find a rear rattle from Becks car and it was just an annoying little noise so I emptied the boot, removed the spare wheel and jack, took it for a spin, no still there, got Beck to drive the car whilst I hunted with my ear to the rear boot floor, no not there, banged the parcel shelf, no not that, removed the rear seat and listened again while Beck drove, bloody noise, it was now definitely coming from the driver's side and more like an exhaust rattle, except the exhaust is the passenger side and I had already discounted that from my under the car rubber mallet bashing, nothing made the noise I was trying to find, I opened the rear hatch and thumped all around, still nothing I closed the boot, thumped the body molded rear bumper section, nothing, I thumped the rear L/h side rear light cluster which goes from the roof down and is about 500mm long, nothing, virtually giving up and on walking away from the car thumped the R/H side light cluster, that was it, it vibrated and produced the irritating noise, the light cluster fits by hooking onto the car bodywork and then a plastic wingnut is tightend to hold the cluster in place, the plastic hook was not fully engaged and was allowing the lamp cluster to vibrate in certain conditions, nice cheep fix but took ages to find, oh well fixed now, these little anoying faults sometimes take ages to trace, nice and quiet now, typically, Becky never noticed the noise until I pointed it out, ha ha.
Take care young sir.
