The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Good evening all,
I got my MRI scan at 09:15 this morning, the first time I have had one only on my jaw, to do this you lay on the MRI table with a special head-shaped holder, you put your head in the holder, and they wedge it in with rubber wedges, and then place the corresponding front half on top, so you resemble "The man in the iron mask"
They provide ear plugs because the noise of the electro-magnets is so loud, no problem with that, then they give you a rubber bulb to squeeze to attract their attention if you have a problem.
The table then retracts back into the rotating electro-magnets, but, the cable got caught around the machine and the bulb was dragged out of my hand!
Still no problem, but they wedged my head so it could not move at all, no problem, but they want to MRI my lower jaw,
Have you ever tried to hold your jaw tightly shut for 45 min, without ever moving, it was impossible, muscle spasms set in, and they had to do it all over again due to a blurred image ....
So 1.5 hours in total for MRI without contrast dye and repeat with contrast dye, to be fair I even nearly fell asleep on the table with the hypnotic beat of the MRI machine, the electro-magnets are so strong, even the metal table bed shudders in sympathy when they are energised, sort of rocking you to sleep!
Anyway, it would have been helpful if they had put a rubber band from the top of your head to under your chin to stop any involuntary movements, but that is now out of the way and done.

Today's hopeful for some news is-

Good luck Carl :-)
Thanks, Ohmni for your cream advice for the spots and scars.
The good news for me is that I can get to my MRI scan appointment at 9 am, I did not cancel it due to my chickenpox, praying I would be well enough to attend as it was a nightmare to book by the orthodontic department at short notice.
Neary two weeks of facial stubble covers up a lot, and to be fair, my hospital appointment for that AORTIC screening could well have been where I picked up my chickenpox, mingling with the masses in the hospital canteen?
Good luck everyone
No one invested last year could ever have foreseen being in this position with EUA!
Cheers.
Good evening all,
Nice to see the start of Wimbledon on the box,

Bad luck Pete, better luck next time :-)
Try and have a lovely evening everyone, not easy when Putin's special operation is taking out shopping centres with a reported up to 1000 shoppers inside, the bastard...
Cheers.
Good morning Les and all,
I'm feeling so much better, but my poor face has been left covered in scabs and red scars from this chicken pox, which is not pleasant and I have refrained from shaving for two weeks now....
I hope you all had a lovely weekend break and are refreshed for another week?
Today's hopeful is - Newbie642 - 27/06/22
Good luck to you Pete :-)
Good luck everyone
Cheers.
Good evening all,
I'm certainly on the mend now, with no more new spots and feeling much brighter,

Bad luck, the wait for some good news continues,
At least the share price held 7p today, small mercy!
All the best everyone and have a lovely weekend break
Looking to be a tad damp for those at the Glastonbury Festival, and for the rest of us at some point!
So make the best of it
Cheers.
99Treble, Morning,
You are already down and for that exact reason, and have been for some time :-)
I didn't miss you the first time around,
Good luck and for your daughter's prom to get well,
Cheers matey.
Good morning all,
SandyBugler, that joke you made did make me smile :-)
The good news is that after several nights of having horrible dreams, including last night, where I had a tummy ache, and on rubbing it, all my intestines fell out!
Where I then proceeded to casually pick them all up and get on a bus to go to the hospital so they could put them all back in!!
So Wierd!! Still running a fever I guess?
But the spread of spots seems to have abated, so hopefully, this is the start of recovery?
Today's hopefuls are:-
----------
InForAPoundor2 - 24/06/22
Wantacracker - 24/06/22

Good luck to us all
Will we open back up above 7p and hold? It would be nice after such a long journey!
All the best everyone
Cheers.
Good evening all,
Another frustrating day with the FTSE down!

SaxonAxe - 23/06/22 - Bad luck Matey :-(
It has been a very long journey for the long-term holders here who have endured deaths, injuries, sickness, etc,
Yet, we are still here holding out hope,
Give us some news .... please!
I'm very irritable at the moment and you all know why! Bloody chickenpox..
Those spots are turning up everywhere, they must stop propagating soon?
Have a good evening everyone,
Cheers.
Good morning Saxonaxe and all,
Thanks for the kind words,

Thanks Sbrace,
so am I, I thought it was something you caught when you were much younger, but, no, anyone can catch it and at any age,
The itching has been controlled with antihistamines so no great problem just got to let it run its course and for the spots to blister up scab over and vanish, the sooner the better!
Have a good evening matey,
Cheers.
Good evening all,
It has been a smasher of a day outside, I'm currently off my food and residing inside my abode resembling a leper :-)
Thank you all for your advice on dealing with chickenpox, just out of curiosity I rang the Belfairs Academy to enquire about student numbers being off sick,
Their reply - It is rife throughout the campus!

Good morning all,
I feel like ****, at the age of 65 what I thought was just the odd gnat bite on my forehead has now spread all over my torso!
Becky tried three chemists for some Calamine lotion, and all three had sold out and had no stock, asking was it for Chickenpox?
Apparently, there is an outbreak in Southend & Leigh,
Great!
I've apparently never had Chickenpox before, or else I would not be catching it now!

Afternoon CTC1988,
You posted-
"This 'character', Ian_ posting on the #EUA
@eurasiamining
LSE BB is such a LIAR. He posts under a different moniker on the ADVFN BB & he had sold EUA to "chase rainbows" elsewhere"
GFD is so wrong, it's laughable,
I was and still am a member of ADVFN, but have not posted for about two years!
Funnily enough, I only have ONE moniker, and that is Ian_ on ADVFN as well :-)

RNSMan,
I did not attack Rowka, I was replying to the new investors that are ramping the stock and one in particular Mr JonesRichard who has been at it for days with his £3.50 stock valuation.
I responded to that with:-
"But any more than a £1 is I think to be very optimistic, at this point in time."
Did you notice the "at this point in time" where we only have the 2m oz, and nothing more!
I added this disclaimer to my post:-
"No one will moan it we get more but please reign in your expectations or you may be very disappointed with the eventual outcome, expect less, and be pleasantly surprised is my motto."
I was very surprised when Rowka attacked my post as negative as I have always been and continue to be a very positive poster.
You attacking me on the other hand I'm not surprised, remind me again, why was it you got banned from LSE ...."
Funny old world where once friendly posters turn on their fellow investors just because they can on Twitter!
Even though GFD has taken below-the-belt swipes at me, and continues to do so, apparently, say's more about him and his now warped mind!
I would, and never will lower myself to such petty actions,
Have a good day all,
Cheers.
Montyboz, you are making things up, I have NEVER had a 1p share price entry into this stock!
My original entry into this stock was at 3p .... It's in my history,
YOU, on the other hand, IF you are old Rowka, wiped all yours when you swanned off in a huff,
Are you going to substantiate your claim that you are Rowka reincarnated, or not,
If you can't, you are not him :-)
Morning wolfe,
If Montyboys is Rowka he would know the joking share price he posted, so far he has not provided any evidence to support his claim!
And for Bumble,
My initial buy-in price was about 3p, rising on the way up to 7p in some accounts to in end when I held 4,200,000 shares because of buying more on the way up!
I never traded or sold, more the fool me,
My problem, and mine alone, I'm a big boy,
And an idiot, I totally accept that,
The wait goes on!
Morning Bumble,
I have NEVER EVER traded this sock,
Yes, you are correct, my word 'Lost' should have been 'missed out' the same thing in my eyes now looking back,
More fool me in hindsight,
Montyboz,
You are wrong on so many levels with your opinion of me,
I have not just stated I sold out, that was months ago after I panicked on seeing how much profit I had missed out on,
YOU, on the other hand, IF you are old Rowka, with all you ramping and your personal trip to visit the mines in Russia with your dodgy sat nav and the wife by your side take the biscuit, whilst you did sell out!
This is just a hard lesson for me to accept, Becky was always on to me to sell, but no, I knew better, I could have walked away with a £1,500,000 profit ..... BUT I didn't, because when the share price was 40p, the company was worth much more and due to be sold imminently, which has since become extended/ongoing,
Anders Murray and Phill still have their massive holdings, so they must be p1ssed as well,
I now just try to live day to day after learning the hard way in life, that a bird in the hand is worth more than a bird in the bush,
NO one expected this war to go ahead, we assumed wrongly that it was all just bluster on Putin's part,
The Company still has everything going for it, but this war situation is a massive thorn in its side,
If anyone did any ramping it was Rowka, and you still have still not provided any evidence that you are indeed him!
What was Rowka's joking leaving share price, £3.50 it most certainly was not!
Have a good day everyone,
Cheers.
Montyboz do keep up :-)
"Ian, as someone who was ramping the share, before, after and during your sell-out I think you should move over to your new board, feel free to return when you buy back in"
I never top sliced,
I never had a 'during my sell-out',
I only sold when I panicked after war broke out, that Even the Ukrainians did not think would go ahead!
Seeing all my paper profit vanish was heart-breaking and MY fault for not taking preventative action sooner,
I chased a few stocks in trying to claw back some money, only to lose more!
I bought back in with 250,000 shares and am still invested here, it is in my history,
YOU, on the other hand, have already stated that you sold out, and are no longer invested,
So, no good you making up things, and why are you still here :-)
Over to you Montyboz :-)
