Re- Caiphi65's comment - how about those companies whose products are being blown up in the thousands to defend Ukraine?
This is a good example of why it is difficult to make sensible policies faced with a politically illiterate electorate.
Simple answers demanded, to complicated questions. Sad.
PS - Labour Party member, and holder of decent, well-run Western companies - including Shell.

NU - I would be astonished if Gerry was not deeply into this, seems a no-brainer to me.

And I don't believe 30 years back, but a few more healthy years as I am now, would be worth considering!
GO GB!
With 1.5 to 2% drops in the general markets, our SP is not too bad...
That looks brilliant. Very pleased MW is doing so well, happy to wait because the "Jam tomorrow" will be very tasty. :-)
Yep LL and LTD, Barclays are very (too?) optimistic.
They also like FRES - another of mine.
Luckily, I can afford to be patient - and have to be with some dismal ones I have! :-(
Keeping the faith.
All markets are being hammered (except RTS - a "special case, thanks Bootin)
GLEN has suffered more than average, why? But at least the continuing buy-backs will help long term.
Which looks to be longer than we hoped...
I still feel cautiously optimistic, just hope for a bullet before "He" presses the big red button.
I must confess I am disappointing, at over 50% down now.
Still feel there is a very good potential, and part of my support for ethical companies.
A little late to change anyway; I accept there will be losses as well as gains, and long term my investments are up, but the last 18/24 moths have been painful. :-(
And at least I'm not being bombed!
I am also puzzled by this "divestment" I saw mentioned a loss to BP of £20+ Billions.
I am assuming BP did not remove/disable/destroy these assets? Will Putin stop selling oil/gas?
Where does that money go to, if not a gift to finance Putin's war?
Guys,
I joined last June, with 17K at 32p on a great story.
Every time they fell, I topped up.
Then they fell again! And I topped up...
Latest strategy is, having spent up, at 53K NO more buys, so we should start rising.
I hope. :-)
