Seems like this SP is a bit of a dead duck right now...

"All the lame ducks here have missed the whole point of Air Europa." Have no idea what you are talking about, it was mentioned on the day the SP dropped.

SP has dipped more than anyone imagined. Its not like debt was never mentioned before, I can see a bounce over the next few weeks. It doesnt make sense but then again nothing ever really does here....

Maybeonedaysoon board agreed to seal the deal of Air Europa on results day, i think you need to go back to school....

SS17 exactly points to why the SP went down, Air Europa.... why did they do this on results day, beats me.....

Its almost like the board want to keep the SP down.....

Its the same for all airlines this article but IAG managed to go an buy Air Europa the day before results day and add debt....

Maybeonedaysoon when one company acquires another, the stock price of the acquiring company tends to dip temporarily, while the stock price of the target company tends to spike. The acquiring company's share price drops because it often pays a premium for the target company, or incurs debt to finance the acquisition. Are they not market principles?

Not sure what they are playing at on that board as opportunity of a bumper day is spoilt with Air Europa. Probably they want to reduce the SP as the deal includes shares…

I was worried about the timing of the acquisition and proves to be right, when a company acquires another there is a usual dip.

Maybeonedaysoon, is your rationale based on Qantas, an airline based in Australia? IAG is a group of European airlines, don't get the similarity to a single Australian provider........ If results are better than expectation tomorrow i would say a climb if lower than expectation a fall.....simples..... when the SP climbs towards the end of the day, generally most believe it will be a climb...
