LloydsActuary, i really hope so but dont think so anytime soon....I really do hope i am wrong but wish i cashed out earlier this year.....
Jtan, what added value does your post entail? I am a realist, I am invested in the long term based on no war, inflation, lower oil prices and no recession!
You had also mentioned in the past that you saw the SP tanking and now your invested at a low? Obviously knew what you were doing too!
Does anyone not understand that pent up demand WILL fade very quickly after the summer and all we will have left is stagflation, high oil prices a war and a recession?
Institutional investors are not going to come on board until there is a trend towards positive certainty...... doesn't take a rocket scientist to be fair. Only reason I invested was because i couldn't see these traits emerging when i did....
Institution investors drive share price, not use meager RI’s. Now which II’s would invest in airlines now with oil, inflation and war. Not to mention a recession coming that might lasts minimum 3 years! Peoples heads are stuck in the sand on this forum.
Mararab, fact is that it might not even go above 180 for a long time. Average length of a recession is 3 years, depending on how severe.
I wouldn't take note of a word Sundezena says, just ramps up the same message over and over again . Probably even said that today was going to be a blue day. Always with the caveat of DYOR at the end of his messages. The guy is delusional, fact is we are headed for a recession. Number of people getting on a plane this summer will not change what will happen mid term as prices peak and costs inflate. I am stuck on this share like many others and did not see the war or a recession coming. If by some miracle the price was to go to 180 in the short term, i would sell and wait for the dip that is inevitable.
US airlines and cruise are flying...
also what is happening with Madrid STE? IAG isnt performing as bad there?
Different variables to compare to covid, recession fears at a newly established price range. To reverse, people need to be confident in the future and its not looking likely right now....
Sundezena, where is the value in your posts, ramping non stop without any insights... filtered. Barking dog....
Oil is leading the charge downwards which sits well for airlines....
Here we go, the stats are starting to filter into ii decision makers in the market. At last…..
Big Blue, typical answer, Europe is a continent, the EU is a collective. There’s a difference….
BA are at 75% number of flights as of April 2019. As of week 14th of April they operated 709 flights which is a +11% increase on the previous week. The UK is the busiest state in Europe for flights , referencing the same date at a growth rate of +3% on 2019. Summer hasn't even started yet.....
I was on a flight back from Miami to T5 yesterday, flight was packed as was the airport. Connected onto Dublin and same, packed. This is going to go north very quickly. Whatever flights they cannot fly because of operations, they transfer onto other flights. Load percentage and higher tickets prices directly translates into profit.

I can only see a delay in the SP's positive performance. Not every share shoots up at the same level and time. You are either in or out, i dont think its an easy day trade, thats for sure.
Jtan, bounce where?
As horrible as all this is and as great as it would be to punish the liar Putin, it is not a world war. Recovery will happen pretty quickly.
