Kodal and Mali Lithium have a lot in common ie Lithium and Gold in Mali. They also had a MoU back in 29 Jan 2020. They also both have good relations with Resolute. So what? you are saying. Well I have only just discovered this news, it came out when Mali Lithium removed Lithium from its name and became Firefinch. What happened to the MoU between Kodal and Mali Lithium when it was renamed Firefinch?
https://www.spglobal.com/marketintelligence/en/news-insights/latest-news-headlines/mali-lithium-pivots-away-from-lithium-to-resurrect-barrick-s-morila-gold-mine-61124758
Mali Lithium Goulamina project is more or less next door to Kodals Lithium deposit.
https://firefinchltd.com/project/goulamina/
I quote from the above link "World Class:
Average Spodumene concentrate production of over 436,000 tonnes per annum of concentrate places Goulamina as one of the largest lithium developments in the world"
I ask the question, why is Mali Lithium moving out of Lithium as Lithium price is rising again? Well Mali Lithium made some exciting Gold discoveries in Mali, it appears they want to concentrate on Morila Gold as they state "However, Goulamina is now under strategic review given the current lithium market. The focus is squarely on Morila, given that Mali Lithium's share price has soared from a seven-year low of 4 Australian cents per share in April to a two-year high of 22 cents on Oct. 21 following an Aug. 31 announcement that it would buy 80% of Morila." https://www.spglobal.com/marketintelligence/en/news-insights/latest-news-headlines/mali-lithium-pivots-away-from-lithium-to-resurrect-barrick-s-morila-gold-mine-61124758
So maybe the Goulamina Lithium deposit is up for negotiation.
Just a thought, but no evidence, but could Kodal get it's hands on the huge Goulamina deposit. Maybe Kodal could hand over it's Gold for Goulamina assetts.
Maybe nothing will happen, but one thing for sure, there are lots of synergies between Kodal, Mali Lithium (now Firefinch) and Resolute.
These are just my thoughts/ideas. No investment advice is intended. DYOR. My investment in Kodal is tiny, just 35k shares and is staying at that!!
My head is in a spin.
What do others think?
I know exactly where ALL my electricity is from, I have all the facts from my suppliers web pages.
https://bulb.co.uk/generators/
https://bulb.co.uk/energy/
Do your own research. You obviously don't know how the National Grid works
Learn how the National Grid works and how electricity is traded over the national grid and then you can stop kidding yourself
I have worked in the energy sector, both exploration and supply.
Incorrect, here are a some companies that actually recycle Lithium Ion EV batteries.
Tesla - https://electrek.co/2019/04/16/tesla-battery-recycling-system/
Li-Cycle - https://www.li-cycle.com/
Some are researching it northvolt https://northvolt.com/closing-the-loop-recycling-lithium-ion-batteries-on-an-industrial-level-the-final-step-towards-sustainable-electrification/
There are others, but you will need to search for them. Not many EV's batteries for recycling just yet, my Nissan Leaf from 2012 is still going strong, I reckon it has at least another 7 years, before i use it as a backup battery for my house. It's a long time before it will need to be recycled.
As for wind turbines and concrete. A 2mWh turbine offsets it's production/erection carbon footprint in just 7 months of full output. Flow batteries are now getting connected to wind turbines, this allows them to work as a base load source. Google flow batteries. Some are made using just salt water for the electrolyte!
Yep it's a BP thread. So what are BP doing about the transition to renewables? They could go into Hydrogen production. Cover their oil fields in solar panels and start shipping Hydrogen. In the orkney Islands they create Hydrogen with their excess electricity, They power port facilities and schools with it. They are going to power their next generation ferries with it as well. No need for oil in shipping!

Renewable can and will supply all our electricity, It will take decades for it to happen. These tidal turbines are another new source of renewable electricity.
https://www.independent.co.uk/environment/scotland-floating-turbine-tidal-power-record-sr2000-scotrenewables-ofgem-a8503221.html
OK you will need 700 of them to produce the same output as say a large nuclear power station such as Torness. Each turbine costs £7m 700x7 is £4.9bn . Hinkley Point C is costing £37bn. It's simple maths, I know where I would put my money!
Tidal is good for many countries, solar and/or wind is better for others. or even Geothermal, Iceland is lucky on that front!

LOL, there are plenty of electricity suppliers who only purchase and resell renewable electricity to retail users such as me!
I get all my electricity from Bulb which is 100% from renewable resources NOT your 5 to 7% that you suggest. Take a look at www.bulb.co.uk They even gave me £50 when I transferred across and they did also cover any exit fees from previous supplier, not sure if these offers are still available. My son recommended them, he got £50 as well!
I agree with you, moving from hydrocarbons to renewables is a huge task and will take many decades. Everything can be sorted, but it needs every government and person to do their bit. Sounds like you are doing your best.
A few points.
Quite a few battery materials are toxic if they get into the environment, but technology is moving forward. All Electric Vehicle batteries are recyclable, so once the metals used in these batteries are mined, they can just be recycled forever. Far cheaper to recycle than mine. For instance I'm not going to dump my EV battery when it's dead, when I can get over £2k scrap value.
As for energy for use in mine developments. There are systems available for mining from renewable energy. I suggest that all miners of renewable metals should use systems like this. OK a larger capital outlay is required, but there are many benefits as listed on this web page https://www.solarreserve.com/en/solutions/mining-industry/
Concerning food, my family (as do many of my friends) refuse to buy food that is flown across the world. Always best to buy local food that is in season, as people did pre-1950's.
Governments need to start taking this seriously. The UK government could start by showing it's committed to reducing CO2 by NOT issuing any more coal, oil or gas exploration licenses. The lead time from start of exploration to production for North Sea Oil is 12 years. I certainly don't want to see any new oil wells going into production in 12 years time. How can the government suggest it can meet it's CO2 targets by allowing this?

Oil pumps switched off because of drone attack on oil pipeline.
More reason for buying an electric car, no need to rely of petrol or diesel, electric vehicles are already far cheaper to operate, higher oil prices will encourage more to buy EV's. UK has plenty of potential to produce cheap renewable electricity, no need to import anything.
Daytradenovice
True, I don't own any coal, oil or gas related stock. I was in fact in the exploration business for 17 years and owned oil stocks up to about two years ago. But no way will buy into these now, and non of my pension is in them. I have changed totally from hydrocarbons, because of the scientific evidence against using them. My car is electric and my house is electric heated, no oil or gas. All my electricity comes from renewables sources via www.bulb.co.uk It's also cheaper to be green, I can drive 50 miles in my electric car for just £1.50 when charged on economy 7, how much does it cost to drive a petrol car the same distance?
I was a big supporter of the oil industry, I changed direction, others may follow me. I think anything that is Lithium and battery related may do well. Also amazing results from tidal in Orkney Islands check out the news on that front. A single tidal turbine produced 3 GWh of electricity in just one year, and tidal is far more consistent than wind. Plenty of other things to invest in to replace coal, oil, gas
These are the FACTS concerning CO2 levels over the past 780,000 years from actual atmosphere trapped in Ice cores.
Click on the link below to see the last 1000 years of actual CO2 levels, then click on the button in top left in that page and see the chart for 780,000 years
https://www.co2levels.org/ www.co2levels.org
and you say that the current MASSIVE spike is to do with a natural cycle, well please explain why this has not happened in any cycle over the past 780,000 years?
As a scientist I am fed up with people ignoring the FACTS! All scientists trust this data, it is correct.
By the way they are just collecting new Ice core which will get the FACTS about CO2 for the past 1.5 million years, I suppose you will ignore that data even if it backups the data from the previous Ice core.
Like I say we need to stop using coal, oil and gas.
Yet more oil and all it's related crap for the atmosphere and oceans!
Scientists are telling us all to stop burning coal. oil and gas now, PLEASE LISTEN.
Stop thinking about profits and start thinking about life on little planet Earth. Think about the future for your children and grandchildren.
Not sure if this was posted the other day.

Excellent, nice that we have larger mining operation planned, just shows the resource is growing, they must be confident! Well the results explain why!
" "The opportunity highlighted by these continuing good results is that we are now able to assess our proposed operation parameters and factor in a larger mining operation with an initial 1.2Mtpa processing plant, expanding to 1.5Mtpa as the operation moves into steady production phase.
"With this in mind, we are continuing to map out a development programme and will be looking to provide an update to the market on our recent activity and engagement of specialised Engineering contractors to work with Kodal and support this development schedule in due course." "

I had solar panels at last house, yep, FREE driving!
Autotrader search for EV's under £7k.
https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-search?sort=price-desc&radius=1500&postcode=se17hr&onesearchad=Used&onesearchad=Nearly%20New&onesearchad=New&price-to=7000&fuel-type=Electric
Depends on the users commuting distance, but I would have thought the massive savings over petrol would far outweigh the finance costs required for a car. You can get deals on EV's via local dealers. I purchased an EV where the battery in NOT on lease, otherwise you have that as an ongoing cost.
Oh by the way, for those in Scotland you can get upto £35k interest free credit from Energy Savings Trust on new EV's
What ICE users need to take into account, is that if you charge your EV up on economy 7 electricity (time switch available in car) you can reduce your commuting costs by 75% compared with a 60 mpg petrol car. For some reason consumers don't make allowances for this when paying a bit more than EV.
I purchased a secondhand 2012 model Nissan Leaf (series 1) 3 years ago for £8k. It is saving me £2k a year in petrol costs and it's depreciated by only £500 per year!! OK range is a bit limited as it is a very early model, but it's fine for the commute.
We will start seeing an enormous rush for EV's as they hit the ICE price bracket and consumers take note that E7 Electricty is 75% cheaper than petrol and that's excluding the free electricity from rapid chargers. It's a NO BRAINER, makes me wonder if ICE users have lost their brains! All these ICE users could be saving a fortune, it makes real economic sense for all 2 car families to have at least one EV. If you have cash for a secondhand EV, like me, you can cover the cost of the car in just 4 years from the savings made. That just can't be done with an ICE car. Oh and no timing belts to replace or alternators to replace, EV's are very low maintenance, yet another big saving, I just don't understand why people are not buying them. I only have 'O' level maths but I can work it out! One last thing for those who do not know, EV battery packs can be recycled, it is nonsense for anyone to say they cant and yet another false news story.
EV's maybe a niche market outside China, but from reports I am receiving from China, this is not the case. Visitors to Beijing reporting 1 in 3 cars EV's or hybrid, that is not niche. Even in UK EV sales numbers are rocketing, OK from a low base, but trend up is getting stronger. Battery price will remain high for a while but the point at which an EV cost no more than ICE is almost there. Look at the price of a Renault ZOE.
Kodal mentioned in this
https://www.sgpbusiness.com/company/Suay-Chin-International-Pte-Ltd
http://ensdrfly.mycn86.cn/about/
