Anchoring results not being published with a negative outcome. Who said results are going to be published today? Nobody? How can something that wasn't due to happen not happening mean something bad is going to happen? It's completely irrational and designed to spook those that don't understand language and it's uses.

What is the value of the business based on fundamentals?

What is the gap?

What are the objective root causes of that gap?

What needs to happen to address them?

Will that happen?

Etc

Might be worth doing some research on FUD. There is a stark difference between FUD and being bearish on something and that difference is in the subtlety of the language and behavior. It all depends how switched on somebody is to rhetoric, logic, fallacious statements etc to spot the difference.
