Morning Mira. Putting aside your thoughts on ANGS for 1 minute, consider this.

Maybe because HUR need other assets quickly to resolve the issue of the single well. Investing in SFB or buying ANGS outright is a quick way to start that process for relatively little money. Would also address the sidetrack costs from ANGS perspective so a deal could be mutually beneficial.

It's not just me that has considered it, so it seems.

That would buy additional time to prepare new offshore sites for drilling locations and the more glamorous projects

This is pure speculation of course but both companies ended up 20%+ yesterday so something is going on.

If, as now seems likely, you are a genuine investor, I wish you good luck. Your admiration for the CEO's cost cutting will never be accepted by some given the recent history but you are obviously free to express that opinion.

As for £3.60, yes please and if Mr Potato were preside over that, we might see a shift!

Legin, so my theory wasn't so wild after all! Being invested in both, it could be a dream scenario for me, personally and I'm sure many others are in the same boat. Both ended 20% up, ANGS on no news so maybe a Monday morning RNS there!

With regards the exciting period we're heading towards, I've never longed for a Monday morning so much!

Legin252, is that a rumour you heard somewhere or is it my speculation on the ANGS board earlier today? I just took the reference from the RNS here about oil or gas, the fact that we will be looking for somewhere to invest the cash and that ANGS have the sales process ongoing.

ANGS wild be a good investment for HUR provided things go to plan at Saltfleetby but it was literally a case of putting 2 and 2 together. Will I get 4 or 5?

It's an interesting question Masterbaker.

My view is that it would only react positively if it was accompanied by the announcement of another/other parties who remain in the process or at least a strong indication that others are waiting in the wings.

SOU simply pulling out would have the opposite effect as the only known buyer is no longer interested!

But what do I actually know. Seeing what happened earlier this week with our planning consent and 88e releasing a pretty positive RNS and neither share responding well, who knows!

I agree Tigra, I was simply pointing out the likeliest avenues for the news we hope for. I would love Bonsa to be right but I cannot see it.......just yet! It's going to be a firm takeover bid or gas to get this moving. I couldn't quite believe that the planning consent RNS didn't have a more positive impact so clearly we need MASSIVE news to get this moving.

Also, for the avoidance of doubt, I'm not for 1 second advocating Sound as my preferred choice but they are the only company named so far and they are still involved in the process.

cat5, it's not the opinion I have an issue with. It's the fact that he/she uses a new post for every message. It could be user error but appearing from nowhere and then lauding arch villain number one whilst using a new post for every post, I'm not convinced this is a genuine point of view.

Agenda very much at play for me.

2 weeks until the revised SOU deadline and a little later for the remaining equipment for SFB.

I hope you are right but I think just a touch more patience needed here.
