The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Of course he does. Fund managers are the biggest dampers known, only they have wee teams of minions in back offices plying their pump n dump. I mentioned on this board only a few days ago of the picture of Woodford in front of huge screens displaying all the bb's and the top posters.
Trust no one, stick your guns and set yourself a target, they do!

What I feel might be being overlooked going forward is this:
GGP have done what, I think a total of 6 drilling campaigns in 4 years. Ernest Giles x 2, Hav x 2, Bromous x 1, Firetower x 1. Crazy, but that's it I think.
Hav could turn out to be a monster and we are drilling FT again. If these both turn out to be excellent then CB and team must be onto something with their methods of identification and processes. That would be a near 50% hit rate. Unheard of.
I would see investors buying into GGP on whats coming next from the team alone. And we know they have 2 applications outstanding.
Good times ahead
You have no idea how NCM are operating, you don't know If they are assessing cores in 'one bash' or as they are available.
To make a statement therefore that news is overdue is factually incorrect and based upon your own assumptions.
Those..... are the facts
"As it is received". This point seems to be a bit lost on you. NCM are operating the show on Hav and when they decide to give GH and team some news it will be RNS'd.
Nothing is overdue!
Think that's more to do with Coragold. Might take something in SVE myself.
Bearing in mind one of Artemis tenements sound Hav & Scallywag I'm keeping a firm eye on what's going on

Knokke, I don't believe they would be paying on a per ounce basis like that. Those figures are for outright purchases of JORC estimates. Our deal is a JV and in theory should be 5% of $600 (using today's gold price)
I'm hoping to find out either way;-)
If it truly turned out to be 10m oz then at an AISC of let's say $800 their 70% nets them a tidy 4.2bn. Fair market value as much as flaming possible please after a spend of $65m ;-)
It's a great concept for sure. I'm stuck in Lionsgold. Who knows, if it doesn't relist I may of covered myself with the tallycard
I see NCM merging / TO at some point and Rio have $billions in the float. Rio dumped all their coal assets (rightly so) and could be looking at other commodities. Didn't Rio try NCM years ago?
Valid points Jersey. Definitely worthy of a discussion. Miners will have to adapt rapidly IMO and only the biggest will survive, hence the mergers and takeovers already happening. Personally I think it's an exciting time as there are going To be plenty of opportunities to invest in green technology. Better to be part of the solution than the problem
Good work Paddy. I'm waiting to see what Rio are going to do near Scally. The CEO is in record saying they are going to be evaluating all their tenements. 180 staff at Winu, when they hit they hit large!
20 years away yet but it's coming. Do you really believe the world will be producing that much C02 (or afford to) for a mineral that spends it's time never to be seen in a fault or traded on futures? Not gunna happen. Ledgers n coins
Why pay for storage? When it comes to a physical asset I'm trusting no one. (Ps you'll never find it, my geese will see you off). Seriously though, golds days are numbered. Wake up n smell the roses, a new dawn is upon us, one of the planet first everything else secondary. Gold will be replaced by a digital asset I have no doubt (and thankful for)
Christoph. I tend to bury mine. Storage is for p*****. If you want access then tally money or similar. Spend whilst you earn ;-)
Think it's time to hedge my investment here with some physical gold. I don't see $3000 but I see $1700 this year
Seems odd to me also.
PP?
Jersey, global demand for good sounds much better ;-)
