It's called rinse and repeat... consolidation is the first step. Eventually, unless miracle occur, the PI's get diluted to oblivion. Original investments are worth materially less. It's how these companies operate.

Yeah, well, we do still await the re-stimulation permits, but new minister in place this week, so we await the outcome in due course, if they're amenable to issuing those to us. Compression equipment on order to be installed later this year.

Why? Well, without their major sells appearing regularly throughout the day from them, where are the MM's going to get the stock to satisfy the buying demand on very good news like today? They would have to induce sales... probably by raising the bid. As stated... supply and demand in a fluid market.

How may the fund offloaded today, given that probably a large proportion of the bigger/rounded trades are theirs? Let them sell quickly... and once gone, we can hope for a much more positive rise! GLA.

This is very good news, whatever the market makes of it now... whilst the fund has shares to sell, they will depress us all, but when they dry up... and name is changed, and more contracts arrive.. going to be a good Summer I reckon! Where will the SP be by Christmas day... any guesses? :)

MrC, In the RNS on 29th March... it was stated thus:

"Permitting update
The Board of Ascent confirms that it has filed its appeal against the recent decision of the Slovenian Environment Agency ("ARSO") to request an Environmental Impact Assessment ("EIA") in respect of the application to re-stimulate its existing wells (Pg-10 and Pg-11A) at the Petišovci concession in Slovenia.
The Board notes that a new Environment Minister has now been appointed in Slovenia following the resignation of the previous Minister due to allegations of possible corruption.
The appeal will be reviewed by the Ministry led by the newly appointed Minister in due course. Slovenian guidelines are that this process should be completed within two months however experience has shown us that these guidelines are often not adhered to."

So, two months have elapsed... but this can overrun, and with a new ARSO director... who knows?
