Not sure if the Oz trial results will provide enough data to determine if 1801 could prove effective in IBD however the preclinical tests have suggested it might.

Hi Fearg - I really don't know why anyone would bother with that other site. I haven't looked over there in about 18mths as it was just a trollfest. Sounds like nothing has changed. From memory Criticalthinker seemed to be the only person trying to engage others in conversation but he only got abuse fired back at him. The curious thing is trolls only exist on the internet, you never meet one in real life.

Yeah Potnak, I posted the same thing a little while back. If he's dealing with big pharma they'll no doubt review his résumé and by extention, will perhaps look into the companies he's helped. With completion of our own self-funded P1a trial we're slowly stepping into the big leagues. Every pharma will recognise the hurdles a company has to negotiate to reach that stage so 1801 will be taken seriously by the people with deep pockets.

Just to expand slightly on my learned colleague Celtic's reply, dosages in trials can give some degree of insight into a drug.

We know in preclinical trials a max tolerated dose for 1801 couldn't be found even at levels much higher than the proposed daily dose (a good problem to have). This can be significant when it comes to patients being prescribed a drug for extended periods of time. Say you're taking 300mg of 1801 per day and one day you're so busy that you can't remember if you took it or not. You take a second dose in error. Shouldn't be a problem with 1801 as that is still way below any level considered toxic.

The other drug may have a recommended dose of 250mg per day for maximum benefit but it comes with a strict warning never to take more than 250mg in a 24-hour period and to seek medical help if you do. The recommended lower dose (compared to 1801) could be due to greater potency (weight for weight) and/or a higher dose could cause adverse events. This is why trials have to be so cautious.

As a patient would you prefer to be prescribed something that is very difficult to take an overdose of or something that is a bit too easy to overdo? I'm not suggesting there is any issue with AC-201, just pointing out what can occur.

As Celtic alludes, each drug is different and optimum doseages vary as does how long the effect lasts etc. etc.

Hi Ben - as soon as the BoD have a complete data package and the safety committee in Oz have made their comments, the BoD will then be in a position to provide the salient parts to interested parties. Whether or not this has happened ahead of next week, I have no idea.

You'd presume though that if P1a was complete and the BoD had all the data, they'd have to RNS that so we might still be a few weeks (maybe hours!?) away from that point. However, I'm sure Tim will have already spoken with interested parties possibly with a view to meeting them face to face at the convention. Nothing quite like looking someone in the eye to know if they mean business.

I think the BoD might view 1801 as a sort of 'proof of concept' drug and 1802 is the main event.

Even if we don't get any news next week I'd still expect the sp to rise gradually as speculation grows.

Glad to be in the same boat, guys. I now have 5-times the number of shares I previously had and my average has dropped by over £1 so can't complain too much about the disruption. A couple more pence on the sp and I'm back in profit!

Apart from the obvious reasons to dump PH, I wonder if Hybridan have been helping with some sort of imminent 1801 deal and therefore we simply don't need 2 brokers at this stage. Get rid of the dead wood and all that.

Yeah, exactly that, Aber. Another share I have dumped PH years ago and the sp pinged up quite well in response whereas we appear to have a bit of a drop today.

This might be a silly question but it's an area I know nothing about - when people have posted L2 info, Peel are listed as one of the dealers. Despite no longer being our broker, I presume they will continue to operate the share trading side of the business and therefore still be in a position to play games with the sp (albeit to a lesser extent).

It all depends on the complexity of the data, the number of participants and the endpoints measured. There might be a need for additional statistical analyses as the results will feed the terms/scope of the Phase 2a trial. Plus there's the question of staff availability - did they have 5 people ready at a moment's notice to get stuck in or is it all down to one person and they're currently on holiday?

In a nutshell, it takes a while.

Hi Potnak - The company in Oz is simply a branch of Sareum Ltd. It was set up to make admin much easier as it allows us to claim tax relief in Australia and it made for swifter progress through the trial application process. We own the rights to 1801 so don't panic.

Hi Phil - I know nothing beyond what is already public knowledge and as Tim has said, there are interested parties but they want to see data. Looking at various deals in this sector, I'd be a bit disappointed with £250m (though it all depends on the details) hence my "you'll have to show you mean business" otherwise how do you separate the genuinely interested people from the tyre-kickers?

As others have pointed out, you could book meetings with Tim via whatever platform it was so that would suggest there is a queue forming.

Hi Geo - The BoD have already stated in more than one RNS that their intention is to begin Phase 2a trials before the end of this year. This on its own tells us that 1801 has passed the critical toxicology & side effect(s) phase of development.

On the other hand, beggars can't be choosers. I just hope Tim is off to Denver himself next week in order to ink a deal.

Presuming the next RNS will be the results of the 1801 trial, I hope rather than a straightforward 'it has met all design expectations and we now seek partners', they are at least able to compare it to whatever is known about Sotyktu when it was at a similar stage e.g. ahead of trials in psoriasis patients, 1801 has displayed superior/similar results to current market leaders generating X dollars in sales.

Some sort of potential revenue figure (if all goes well) should help engage new investors and get the sp moving.
