The whole situation is both bizarre and amusing.
Pinnacle spend Β£400k then brick it.
UK gov failed to support home grown manufacturing and batteries, (giving a reach around to Tata for Β£500m for a factory that does not exist), and with BritishVolt fiasco, and the fact that AMTE were personally mentioned in UK gov reports about funding, the UK gov have once again failed to provide support.
We also can the massive growth of batteries and move away from lithium, with the growth of Northvolt etc...
Everything on paper indicating that AMTe are positioned to become a powerful company with the UK and a dominant player into the massive growth market of sodium batteries.
Adding to this the move away from oil and gas, the troubles with Russia and MEA region, and the cost of energy hammering all of industries, there is a massive market incentive to go renewable with battery support.
Honestly, I would love it if a few tech bros with piles of cash from crypto bought up AMTE for Β£10m, paid off Arena and share holders to take the company private. Then bought the Britishvolt site and start a massive roll out of batteries and delivered the easiest goal in energy transitioning we have seen since the coal revolution in the 18th century.
