The share price is currently 0.45 - with all the commotion, volatility, speculation, trading and guesswork, how far has this share really progressed? Nowhere is the answer...however, I think the fundamentals (which will be apparent in the results later this month) point towards a price which could be much higher, but not necessarily soon...

Not necessarily - I think all the activity over the last few months was a storm in a teacup and people have just lost interest...

I looked back over my papers and Ashcroft's original investment in MVW, which started off as a shell company in 2004, was £24m in 57% of the company (he recently increased his holding to 87% of the company by issuing more shares in return for cash at 0.75p). That means that Ashcroft originally paid 9p per share which is over 15x the current price. Hopefully Ashcroft will want to recoup some of this value!

I'm still here - I'm be holding for the long term too, but I'm a bit bored of all the ups and downs. No one can quite predict what will happen with this share, except there's a good chance it will do well on the basis of (i) recent director buys at 0.47p (ii) Ashcroft receiving new shares in return for 0.75p of capital suggesting he envisages a future price of higher than 0.75p (iii) Ashcroft concentrating more on business after resigning from deputy chairman of Conservative party (iv) the company potentially securing more contracts with the new semi-Tory government now in place (v) the company results coming out in June (vi) there being the potential for the company being taken over, as indicated by abortive talks last year.

Said in a rare interview with Andrew Neil that he was quitting politics and getting back to business...

I understand Ashcroft will resign from politics after the election, win or lose, so he should be able to concentrate on business more.

Yes, I bought in at 0.81p - I'll wait for this to come about and then consider my options...as we all agree it's bound to get to at least 0.75p sooner or later...

Yes, I am here - shares up again. I am wondering whether to sell mine and wait for them to go back down again, or should I just hold long-term. I think the latter...

My money is on something happening shortly after the election, especially in the case of a Tory win. Meanwhile, I need to install some anti-MVW-watch software on my PC - maybe there's money to be made from it.

I am going to hang onto my shares, but I think I'll de-select MVW from my watchlist and check back again in a month or two !

We were under the impression that the share was going to be delisted from AIM and that therefore we wouldn't be able to trade in the share any more and that Ashcroft would have to buy out our holdings. There was also talk about resistance to any buy-out so that we could get a good price for our holdings. However, on closer scrutiny it was realised that the delisting was more subtle - it was a delisting from the FTSE All-Share index but not from AIM - so trading continues as normal.

I have a relatively modest holding in this company, but, boy, it's providing me with plenty of entertainment. Fun virtually every day. Is there are Facebook group for MVW yet I wonder?

Yes that must be good news. Both of the directors have spent £15k on shares at 0.42p, taking their holding from zero to something.

However, the share price may go up, it may go down (as now). The patient investor is rewarded when Ashcroft actually does something, e.g. sells off the company, merges it, gets a load of new contracts in etc. That doing something is a question of time (months or even years).

Yes, that is my dictum and that is right. I have been following Ashcroft for many years and I should know...

The next events are possibly some new contracts after the election in May and the results in June. In the meantime, time to look elsewhere.

I think before the misinformation about the delisting, we were all under the impression that indeed the price would eventually rise to 0.75p as Ashcroft had placed new shares at this price and that he, of all people, would want a return on his money. However, all this anxiety about the delisting has led us to believe that something is going to happen imminently, whereas I think we need to hunker down again and be patient. It might be a matter of months rather than days, but it looks as if we'll get our reward if we wait.

So is it a mistake? Perhaps there is a mechanism that clicks into place to automatically generate "news" if for example the threshold of 85% ownership is in place...
