And what do all investments say.
Something along the lines of past performance can’t guarantee future....
Hindsight is a wonderful thing.
If I had borrowed more every time I’d moved and kept my previous properties I’d have a good few million in mortgage free property.
If I’d sold at at every peak and bought at every low I’d be a share multi millionaire.
The fact is, if the market is going into a down cycle, aside from cash there is only one better type of thing to be in, and that’s a growth company, with not much previous revenue, but one expected to grow significantly.
Having patiently waited for big things to happen, “pulling out” down here would crystallize those losses, you may go on to “pick a winner” or you may stay still, and you may pick a dud and devalue further.
Meanwhile here the company continues to move forwards, it’s just not reflected yet in the SP.
Everything goes in cycles. Have watched my pension fund rise and the fall in every cycle whilst managed by “experts” and various fund managers in the past.
In the last two years here, we’ve all had the opportunity to buy in 12’s and sell in 30’s, alas some bought in 30’s and high 20’s etc.
Me also, I also picked up a few shares as we dropped, nibbling away at each drop.
If there hadn’t been a drought and the ED wells had come online as expected we’d probably have hit the 30’s again.
Whilst DTU has been “at tipping point” etc it’s slow to adopt, yep. That’s true.
ED - We’ve known about the 7.5% for some time now, we expected it earlier, the drought has delayed that.
On the flip side.
We have nitrogen, we know it’s accessible, we know it can generate revenue and fast. When it’s agreed to get it to the market we get it to, it does not take million of dollars per well and 5-6 months to drill and frak and then get delayed due to drought.
We already have ~$12,000+ a day of revenue (at $5) just waiting to be released from the well already there. It takes days to drill a new one...
So this can and hopefully will turn around very very quickly.
WD we wait to see what awaits us, a massive play by the sounds of it, and we have multiple nominations in for land elsewhere..
Why and how can we look to develop that? Only with massive tie ins with a major.. if we can do that for Oil and gas. Why not Nitrogen also....
Each to their own as the saying goes. But if hindsight has you worrying about lack of action doing anything over the last six months. Missing out on this going back up would tip you over the edge? It would me!
