The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Is JK going WOS by way of India? Seems the long way around. Any comments?
AGR never invested 16mill. They invested about a million or so and then gave up, except that Peak South may have some connection with the Assabayev family. The million or so was advanced to Samek, not Max, and presumably is still on Samek's books as a debt, which Peak South has to concern itself with. Max's debts are listed in the report, and consist mainly of routine business costs, not debt obligations Hondo
All the shares of Madiran, a subsidiary of Max, were sold to Peak South Holding Limited, for $1,000,000. Madiran holds all the stock of Samek, the oil producing subsiidiary of Madiran. Max gets $1,000,000. Peak gets Madiran and through Madiran, Samek. Creditors of Max get the $1,000,000 after expenses of admin. Shareholders get nothing. That is it in a nutshell. read it and weep. Hondo
Anxiously waiting to see how shareholders have been screwed. Honso
If they do a pre-pack, they will mostly likely, sell all the assets to AGR or some entity that involves AGR and the directors, with Scherbank being paid in part and staying in as a creditor. All others, including all other creditors and shareholders, will get fresh air. Be sure that the present directors will take part of the deal if it goes to a pre-pack. Don't bottom fish. There aren't too many tasty tidbit on the bottom. Hondo
I get a feeling that this is going to be a pre-pack deal with AGR and Scherbank, and Jeffs and Holland, and that the present shareholders are going to get shafted. We will see; but with these directors, what else can you expect? Hondo
Take a look at Companies House re possible appointment of an administrator. If it means what it appears to mean, it looks like bad news. Hondo
Thanks for the connection. I note that Robert Holland is back as a director. He wasn't much help when he last served and was not re-elected by shareholders. Maybe the Assaubayev deal is still on the table but who knows at what cost to shareholders. But then we don;t have much to lose a this point. It would be a miracle equal to Lazarus rising from the dead if this company survives with any benefit to its present shareholders. Thanks again for the reference. Hondo
Can you explain what or where you checked to learn that 2 new directors have been appointed? Would appreciate it. Hondo
. They have probably gone under. Bunch of greedy incompetents.
Samek International, the Max operating subsidiary, was threatened with bankruptcy last October. Has anyone heard the result of the court proceedings in that matter.? Does anyone have connections in Almaty who might know the result of such proceedings? I'm assuming that the bankruptcy went through and that Max is finished but does anyone have info? Hondo
The new address is the same address as Alaya Trust, run by Kanet Assabayev. FWIW Hondo
One consolation after losing a bundle on this company--the board and management's options came to naught. Incompetent and greedy, but no big payoff that they tried so hard to get for themselves. I guess I could be called stupid and greedy for letting myself be gulled by those idiots--live and learn.
The last I heard, creditors were trying to put MXP subsidiary Samek into bankruptcy. Does anyone know what happened there? The court hearing was in October. Hondo
Probably took the loss for tax purposes. The price was $0.002 or $170 for the 85,000 shares.
Take a look at the MXP website to read about a EGM to be held October 26.
Thanks for the concern. I'm still mulling it over. I've been in these shares for nine years and I'm thinking that is about enough. I have a huge loss and myself to blame for investing in a company managed by such incompetents. Oh, well, let's see how it turns out in the next couple of months. I'm pretty confident it will be admin by then. Hondo
That's a good Idea if you have an account with Vanguard. Be well Hondo
The pink symbol is MXPTF. See my previous post. Hondo
Rhertig, I have several million shares of this dog. If you can arrange for a a US broker to bid for them in the pink sheets in the US, I will try to arrange for my broker, Vanguard, to sell them to you. $100 per 100,000 would be fine. I need the tax loss. If interested, talk to your broker and have them bid for as much as 2,500,000 at .001 cent per share. Let me know when and I'll do what I can to sell what I have to you. That is now--not in the future. Hondo
