The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
SAGA is a fruit cake of a company. Even the recent advert on TV is back in the dark ages, its on all the time on Sky.
They need to get away from its old image.
As I mentioned before only working with a few agents in the UK has had a huge effect on its business.
Travel agents drive sales and Saga Holidays made a cray comerical move.
Carnival group has gone back to standard booking conditions. No Future Cruise credits. No cancellations when you fail the medical form before departure and were given an FCC for all the amount.
You basically claim it all off your insurance. How you proof it is a differnet matter.
My only concern talking to a few clients onboard Princess and P/O was amount of cases onboard. People not declaring they had covid as the couldnt dread the isolation. Covid is still around and it is still putting a lot of people off booking a cruise.
Also the cost of flights has increased dramatically. You have a look at the cost of a long haul flight in club or first. Costs have in some cases doubled at peak times. Airlines will just have to become a little bit more selective on routes. Will definately be buying IAG under a £1. Bargain long term.
I expect this to move very fast in the next few weeks.
Weak sellers taking a profit but this is going to rerate back up.
Did buy a few more but not enough after listening to the interview.
Seems the CEO has had a bypass operation as he was very enthusiastic and relaxed.
Unlike the new chancellor who even walks like a complete i ot.
Looks cheap but but debt is not cheap either.
Ships going out fairly full but Covid is still an issue onboard. Princess and P/O have had some big issues lately all covered up by the company. All masks back on after a few days away. Painful experience again.
Lets hope Saga dont go down the route of letting unvacinnated people onboard which is coming in from a major cruise line. Madness.
I think we will finally start to rerate over the coming weeks as people look at the huge potential of N4P.
Funded for sometime with some major companies sniffing around.
Yes some people will move on but why would you when were finally on the home stretch.
Actually getting excited about N4P again. Just wish I had a bucket load of cash to buy at these levels.
