Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Alan Rosenthal on LinkedIn was previously the Head of Food at Gousto.
Cheryl Calverley was presenting today with the CMO of Gousto.

Small world… maybe.
The partnership seems quite small doesn’t it, but I hope it’s a positive, they’re still looking at ways to grow the brand.
My nervousness is the lack of comms from customer service. This is impacting trust pilot reviews & twitter.
Have you seen both Steve Davies and Cheryl Calverley are presenting at conferences today / tomorrow? See below. Not sure if this is a positive or not. Is this something they do quite often?
If I was in the last days of business, I’d either be in full day legal contract meetings to wrap up the sale or helping in the warehouse getting as much stock out as possible before admin. I hope a funding or buyout deal’s done and they’re just dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s.

I’ve not seen anything posted on social media for a few weeks… so a glimmer of hope.
Posted at 4:30 today: Calling all nature lovers! We're thrilled to announce we’ve partnered with Aussie outdoors-y start up @unyokedco, who create incredible ‘off-grid’ cabin experiences in Australia, New Zealand - and now the UK.
They’ve also updated their blog today: https://www.evesleep.co.uk/blogs/the-well-slept-club
It does feel different today, a bit more momentum.
& a bit of FUD around!
I thought the same, although they got the 23rd right. Maybe a lucky guess?

Big exciting news on the way.. Watch this fly this afternoon, news after the bell??
It’s interesting, I can still sell my holding and the offer price has gone up +10% in the last 30 minutes, despite only a few small buys.
D-G, it was a post to Eve Sleeps Brand Director, not Creature.
D-G, whether the advert was award winning or not, CC should not be ‘celebrating’ unless she’s wrapped up a deal to save the business, full stop.
It’s no time for celebrating unless you know it’s going be ok. Massive error of judgment if it doesn’t play out that way.
Surely there would be mutiny if she did… from shareholders, investors, suppliers, partners, staff… ?!

Comment on LinkedIn from Cheryl Calverley 5 days ago… “What a ride it's been. Looking forward to celebrating the last hurrah of your incredible work next week in gladrags and high heels!“
Surely there would be no celebrations if facing into the final weeks of the business…?!
You’d think they’d need to communicate such a big move, even if it’s linked to cost cutting.
Trust pilot reviews seem all to be linked to lack of communication. Halving staff clearly taking a bite.
Can’t see this going on for much longer, either way. Hope Alan backed a winner! GLA
1% volume today, doesn’t feel like panic has set in. Helps me keep my cool.
Simba mattresses also has 55% off. So that’s Eve, Simba and Emma doing a disruptive deal.
Probably nothing.
Emma sleep has up to 55% off everything too.
Who knows… fingers crossed for a made.com bounce.
Looking at other companies that have gone into admin, you often see major holders jumping ship in the weeks prior. We’ve not had any RNS for over a week, volume has been tiny, so I assume the Key shareholders are holding.
Total c. 41%.
Octopus 13.59%
Paul Pinder 6.02%
4 Ventures 4.59%
DN Capital 4.2%
Alan R 2.99%
John B 2.99%
Directors 2.3%
Gurmiel S 2.24%
Fabrice 2.2%
It’s small fry in the grand scheme of things, not like Debenhams £1bn debt.
Owed suppliers would get shafted, but why if you wanted to continue the product? Unless you plan to move factories as part of an efficiency drive. (Not sure how specialist manufacture is?)
I don’t disagree with the risk, but this is a very different business to Debenhams, with non comparable stores and debt. There’s a brand / website / product, and it’ll boil down to whether someone wants to keep it alive. If so, there’s no real benefit of admin at these low levels. I think if it goes into admin it’ll be the end of brand personally.
Caroline Smith / Eve Sleep brand director - posted 2 days ago:
‘This week is officially my last with eve sleep after 3 brilliant years. It's been a whirlwind of dancing sloths, flying ****erels, bonkers TV test cards, yellow, yellow and even more yellow...
It's been a total blast. We've done excellent work, built a cracking brand and I've worked with some amazing people. But the time has come to do this marketing/brand building shindig somewhere new.
I'm currently looking for my dream perm role but in the meantime whilst I look if you or anyone you knows needs some short term (3 to 6 months) marketing support just send me a DM.
Happy to hear about perm roles too.’
Also must be a good sign Octopus et al, haven’t sold out?
