Studies and the fact that the greatest investors in the world aka richest are all long term investors not day traders etc. Back up the case fo investing. Who cares about trading floors. They are trading floors and not where investing funds etc are working on long term holdings making the real big bucks.

Yes everyone saw a crash coming Feb/march. Very few see a massive one now and things are already so low - some far lower than even the lows of march so not much else to go down to. I must say I was surprised things didn't drop a bit more this morning on lockdown news but I certainly am not selling my holdings at this time. As Peter lynch once said more money is lost anticipating a crash rather than waiting for one to come and sitting through it. I guess depends on your time frame though.

Good to see you made money on Sirius. I too made about 50% on it. I see from their sustainability report today they are going to cut down on thermal coal and grow the areas of copper and crop nutrients - so the woodsmith mine could become a big thing, though it isn't the reason I am invested in AAL at all. How well that works we will wait and see. Good to see them going more green as well in certain areas, like vehicle, power and using less fresh water in mining - shocking how much water is used in mining when people around the world struggle in some areas!

I heard a fund manager once say you can ask questions in a certain way and can tell from a delay, tone of voice, stuttering etc. in their answer of 'we can't answer' whether the news is going to be good or bad. Thus no insider info but they take a reading of the situation by probing very cleverly. Take of that what you will but no doubt they'd do research and not just take a punt on something as it has gone down.

I don't think UK will go into a full lockdown as it is so damaging and there are signs this way is having an effect and that SAGE's figures are proving to be so far out every time some one can use REAL data to test their models that they are just sounding like pathetic doom mongers. I think the government are right not to call a full national lockdown as it it is only certain areas accounting for huge amounts of numbers - and they have been in measures for a long time and not really going down, so why should some area (most of the country) have to suffer for a few areas?!

Yes, I believe that now the company needs another site with some tangible figures (e.g. scallywag) to move forwards big amounts or something in writing as to how big this one truly is before it will move much further.
