Well I must say that is the strangest weirdest s... I have ever seen in two hours ever.

I guess a lot of people still have Brexit worries. Saw an article though saying parts of Scandinavia will outperform major developed markets next year so I must admit I am investigating that but only in etf. I'd prefer things like that and emerging markets over America in the future but only time will tell.

And that value of 1.7b is a lot less than people were talking about a few weeks ago? I remember figures of 3 or 4 billion. is that because scotia are using a conservative figure of the amount of gold? Does it say how much oz they were using in that figure?

I fear it might be. Been stung a couple of times at 28p and then it crash back down. It can never seem to sustain a rise.

I can see the next stable level being between 2.60 - 2.80 as it was there after the crash. If it is obvious in Jan/Feb that many are getting vaccinated and the vaccine is working then by the end of financial year this could be sitting nicely.

Originally back in May it was hinted at looking at reinstating them at interim results. However, a lot has changed, not least a CEO, pandemic going on longer than expected etc. If it is reinstated I would believe it would be lower - most other companies it has been around half the level it was before when reinstated. But I cannot say for sure what will happen but they will certainly have stacks of cash sitting around. I can't see any dividend rate being higher in yield than the recent hybrid placing though (to start with).

Oh, I also agree £1.01 is cheap. I was happy to buy it last year at about £1.20. Sold out at various points when it hit its highs after Christmas last year. Stupidly bought back in though after its dire results at beginning of the year, but sold out with only about a 5% loss. Glad I got back in in the 60s. I think this was one of if not the first share I purchased after the crash had settled in march/april.

Anyone who has missed these kind of gains can still achieve them IMO. £1.01 to £1.50 ish isn't unreasonable in time and a 50% gain isn't to be sniffed at in any year or two!

If they were selling to one party, and they sold 12% to the same party, then wouldn't we know by now with a holdings in company telling us?

What amazes me about people with electric cars is they go "well charging is free or pennies"... at the moment. Do you think when every car on the street is electric the 'free' council charging spot is going to be free any more, if they can even get close to it to charge from it? Or that when everyone is charging cars overnight the power companies won't end the cheap night rate as there will be a large drain on the grid? practically, anything that can be refueled is going to be simpler and more practical to my mind.

Hopefully. However, with the way the markets seem to work when there is a day everything goes up five or six percent there is a day or two of going back to where it was.

Not at all. Been in ggp for about a year now and I have every right to question if it is a bad deal giving away so much for not even anywhere near the first deal - which as said not even lth would have accepted if you read through posts from the last few months.

Okay so it might not include a couple of locations but all intents and purposes it is the majority of GGPs assets in the region, at a price of $20m australian dollars, when Havieron alone got $65m usd... you can't say that is the greatest deal of the century... A company further along with a track record, with targets it claims are similar to Havieron, getting 1/7th the amount of Havieron - and nor would anyone else a month or so ago when they were talking of 50/50 partnerships and accepting the same deal as havieron as a minimum. It at least takes off the table the rumour NCM would buy GGP - why bother, they effectively own so much now for so little. The only thing is this was either used to sweeten the deal of the loan or there is something else coming. Time will tell.

I was in RDSB and BP but I remain skeptical about their moving to green and how much it will cost and also I decided to move away from oil towards greener stocks in my portfolio.

SAGA I looked at and passed on - silly as it has gone up but oh well, the money was in NEX anyway so I haven't lost anything. I believe they can recover in the future but unsure as to the timeline. Not making any more changes in stocks for a while but I could see SAGA with insurance and travel doing well over the coming years.

Not true, the word acquire is used in the havieron JV for completing all the farm in agreements - the same as was used today for completing the two stages and $20m outlay.
