The next focusIR Investor Webinar takes places on 14th May with guest speakers from WS Blue Whale Growth Fund, Taseko Mines, Kavango Resources and CQS Natural Resources fund. Please register here.
Think you should try the casino Joe it will be more thrilling for you.
Can hear it now “ useless roulette wheel, useless blackjack, useless poker” “ rippling more money from me to pay the croupier”.
Take a break from shares maybe? IMHO
A nice late buy for someone at the bargain price of 0.012. The NAV is ahead of 0.03 and with literally ANY neutral or marginally good news from CDT it is even higher, or with any very good news from one of the small holdings. Vela remains IMHO a good, very low overhead, diversified investment for those interested in tech disruptor, British invention or life science. DYOR.
Yes the website, the lack of news and the SP are endlessly frustrating.
The price is at 52 week low and quite unlikely to go much lower.
The salary bill is minuscule and is easily covered with occasional small sales from the recovering and slowly improving holdings. Some of the holdings pay dividends to Vela and this is a source of income towards running costs.
A placing is unlikely to happen to pay the CEOs salary or the part time chairpersons fees… That would be a bit silly.
Do cheer up. It is only money after all.
High than average volume on CDT with half an hour to go. Up and down but staying between 3 and 3.50, mainly a channel between 3.1 and 3.4.
A high level of interest given there is nothing to be interested in. Puddles in a pond normally caused by something…..unclear as to whether it is a beautiful family of swans or an ugly pike waiting to eat someone’s puppy. ( I’ve not been smoking, jus5 feeling poetic, or it may be insanity caused by Vela and CDT watching!).
A little late buying at CDT
Closes at 3.34 volume of over 18k ( thirty day average volume just a little higher)
Be nice for this volume to continue and for a very gentle bit of upward momentum to kick in.
I d9nt ask for much these days hence “a very gentle bit”.!
A few thoughts on recent chat.
On TSP I can see why it was bought. Initially it was bought slightly early due to a broker admin hiccup. I think the Chair and large investors will sort TSP out. The technology is superb and deserves to be developed by a well run business.
On CDT it is holding at 3 or 3.2 and is getting acceptable daily volumes. Let’s hope for news.
On Mode, no real view other than the current moves will likely rescue the best available get out for the small Vela investment. Already written down in the books as you say.
If the world ever settles down into a more normal ( discuss!) condition and after the UK and US elections we may get back to a period where investment funds are more accessible and some AIMshares recover.
Yes, CDT sticking above 3.15 now with some reasonable small afternoon volumes. Very quiet during the East Coast AM .
Some west coast buying maybe?
I think a few things point to a possible ( and well overdue) re rating.
I feel weirdly optimistic. OMG did I really say that!
Yes not for smartphones. I realised you meant our board and stick with my question/comment. If any board did as you describe any excluded holders would have a case to consider action. Whatever we think of the investment decisions I think we should assume expect/assume integrity.
The whole recent and distant history with Mr Laiker and Vela seems too comp,ex for me to fathom.
But like you I’d love to be offered 0.04 for my holding. I’d even accept 0.039😀
Yahoo have today calculated true value at about 190 per share and quote the analyst target of 247. I’d be impressed to hit 190 and retiring if we hit 247. They both know more than me so here’s hoping!
You are maybe right Jace, some of these small firms do end up being forced to chase holders for TR1s, but an investor like him should know his rules and in any case why release before he hit 5 or dropped to 4, no need. We all need to go figure, or just see it as a bit of chaos.
