This company and project has so so many positives that sometimes the negatives get brushed aside.

Personally speaking I don’t really go in for the terming of some posts as ramping/de ramping- I believe posts in here have a mere amoeba of any effect on the share price.

What I do really appreciate is to hear both the positives as well as the negatives. In fact I usually look out for the negative posts first and foremost when I’m considering something.

Let’s face it, ALL CEO’s are dwarves and sophisticated but that disent mean they’re akways honest with us. ADV bod in my view have been borderline- I’m not very impressed.

Does anyone know what the “ last regulatory approvals” means ? Is it something straightforward / complicated / time consuming ?

We hit 20p subject to first oil; non collapse of global oil price, and ideally announcement of the much much talked about other four projects

I’ve also been around long enough not to suspect possible foul play. Let’s face it, very peculiar sp action towards the close of Asx last night. A timely short here and there would’ve reaped massive benefits - and how the hell would anyone find out - none because of the information blackout

In any other shares I’ve been involved over the years, this ride on spud is a new phenomenon to me. Usually or more often than not it’s case if “ sell on the news”.

I think it’s important to differentiate between Adv specifics and global markets impact

I was feeling very confident that Sdv would hold strong on the aporox 4p support - Carnarvon in fact was healthy up on ASX following their RNS- that is until tge last minute when the Moderna chap said their vaccine might not deal with the new variant. Carnarvon went from about 4% up to flat by end.

As cr*p as Adv investor relations dept this s, I think the current hammering is more to do with global conditions, imo

Personally I will not be selling even though I’m expecting more turbulence at least this week - hopefully settle next week. Subject of course to global outbreaks of fairies and Noddy holders and stuff

What I will do is very very actively and desperately seek more funds for potential top ups. Thing is, money does not grow on things and I might consider switching £10 or £20 K from another long term investment ( with a view to going back into that in a few weeks)

The Operator, Carnarvon Petroleum Timor, Lda., has been advised that the Valaris JU-107 jack-up rig is in the final stages of its current operations with another operator, with rig handover expected within the next two weeks. The operations team is waiting and ready to receive the Valaris JU-107 jack-up rig to commence drilling operations at the Buffalo-10 well-site. Logistics teams are in place, and all appropriate support services and equipment have been contracted, with the last remaining regulatory approvals expected prior to receipt of the rig.

The Buffalo-10 well is designed to test the presence of a significant attic oil accumulation that remains after the original development was closed-in and convert the 2C certified resources of 34.3 MMstb to reserves following re-certification. A further update will be provided upon mobilisation of the drilling rig to the Buffalo Project location.

Leslie Peterkin, CEO of Advance Energy, commented:

“We are pleased to note that the drilling preparations are all going smoothly and that the Operator has confirmed the rig handover will occur in a couple of weeks. The drilling of the Buffalo-10 well is a major event for Advance Energy and we look forward to providing further updates at the appropriate operational milestones.”

Exciting times for Advance shareholders who are waiting for the Buffalo well to start which is now imminent, the well is in shallow water depth of 30 metres, with reservoir depth between 3,200-3,300 metres and has a mid case recoverable volume estimate of 34 million barrels (gross, 2C contingent resource).

Buffalo-10 is considered by RISC Advisory to have an 85% probability of confirming a sanctionable development project based on the minimum economic field size and on success Buffalo-10 is to be retained as first production well in any development program. With the company in the process of discussions to facilitate accelerated first production the development should prove to be a very swift return to shareholders and the outlook is highly promising.

Retail investors will be disappointed I’m sure. But I’m hopeful the institutional players might welcome the update - not exact certainty but nevertheless informative and confirms no bad worries.

Yes there has been no deadlines given but the financial world is abound and lives by guidance. The guidance in this case for Spud has been early ni ember; then mid November; then most lately end November. In stead of all this crap it would’ve taken em two lines to give an honest state of play pertaining to the rigs etc Instead we’ve had to rely on news from Csrnarvon, or Jadestone or the binocular watchers

Nowt wrong with delays but then stop effing giving expected times. Or at least, take the opportunity to keep us a bit more informed. Trying to keep up with all the binocular watching is beyond me
