In much of my other experience it has tended to be a case of “Sell on the news”. I have literally kniw idea what happens in oil and gas. Many people seem to overuse this term called de risk

My view is once spud confirmed, the drill appraisal is only a month before the first results come out. So personally I see it very sensible just to hold till results (90% cos and all that)

What other views are out there - care to broadcast ?

But how low will the share price go after it’s been diluted by these millions of shares ?

So is there nobody at all here who can give me an idea of what to expect going forward ?

But I’m new to this company- you could say I’m prospecting and I’m just wanting to know where we might be going. I have various investments inc property and a five figure in an EIS which has already doubled. Among the am I’ve a very large position in an oil & gas called Advance Technolgy (ADV) which I absolutely expect to be a multi bagger in the medium/long term. Predictions are not easy but at least some calculations towards nav can be made eg future number of oil barrels to be produced multiplied various estimates of future global oil price hence why I think ADV is likely to become a mid cap etc

So where can we expect the SP to be once some of the capex is done and we’re near to production ?

Yes I’m aware we’re de t free right now, we have been ever since breaking away from Andalaz. And yes I’m also very aware that debt can actually be a good thing - in fact essential requisite in our case couple of years down the line

Well Bladey we will not be debt free. Production by end 2023 and first two years after that will payoff caped - debt or equity

to an extent Wyndrum your question is a bit irrelevant for the simple reason that the oil revenue is not expected until mid-decade (whatever that means).
But I did hear Peterkin say a bit about how prices and when sold works ie in advance. Like you I’m also not an o&g person.
What I would say personally is that I don’t believe in all this $200/b nonsense- temporary $100 top side I’d say.
Remember it wasn’t really that long ago when global oil was literally being given away to save their costs on storage etc

Spot on question Wyndrum and excellent initial response from the likes of Bladey and Oiler. The question is exactly what I was wondering too.
So about the responses, what exactly can we find out at spud that we dint already know? Yes a few minor confirmations but these are more about logistics then anything substantive.

Legalwolf : regards new acquisitions, he said that he will give “a more constructive” indication after the Buffalo results are in. Very sensible I think

Jezzac, I agree with every word you’ve said in response to me ??

People who top slice , or de risk or whatever you call it do so on the basis that they can buy back at a lower price. Sounds good on the face of it. Effectively they are at least in part being traders.

But trust me, the vast majority of retail traders ultimately lose out - it’s a proven researched fact. That’s not to say that everyone fails.

So many times I’ve done that and many a time successful, but more often than not I’ve had to buy back at a much higher level.

Here at ADV it really is a one off in terms of the medium and long term gains. Too many preoccupied with what’s gonna happen today or this week but instead need to be thinking what will happen in six months or in a year or two

The old addage “If it looks too good to be true”, and all that. But I’d add Unless it’s Buy ADV sub 5p !

I’ve been around in this game twenty years. But, refreshingly, not just me but look at all the others input in here. I know here sometimes way too much technical analysis but the fundamentals are equally there.

I’m a long term but a piece of advice I would give is this if you’re thinking of selling - “At tge sp in question, would you consider BUY if you were not already holding? “. If so then why on earth sell?

And what will happen in a couple of years if as some predict global gets to$200/B
