I wonder who has snapped up 2.6% of the Co shares?

Could have had an extra £10m had they been sold a year ago.

I would be interested to know a bit more about this as a Shareholder who has lost a lot of my hard earned betting on this company. I had Severe Asthma for 45+ years and have taken high dose Corticosteroids for most of that time. A year ago I started taking a monthly biologic injection (monoclonal antibody), within 3 months I was able to stop taking Corticosteroids and my Asthma symptoms have pretty much disappeared although I have a range of new symptoms (non breathing) which are problematical. The list price of each shot in £1200 but I believe there is a significant NHS Discount but the cost must still be significant. I believe there are significant number of asthmatics that are receiving this treatment or waiting for their 12m trial to start so the costs must be significant too.

Morning Seasider, I've just been looking into this. I have lost about £7.5k on Synairgen. I believe the shares are still valid and they are due to come up for auction every six months via the platform www.assetmatch.com as per the following on the website:

I see that a £1m sell is shown at 08:20, another for £252k, two others for £114k & £100k. A buy at £168k but the rest of the buys are relatively small so I wonder if the early rise can hold up?

I am surprised that this board is so quiet on the day of a decent trading statement.

Share price up 85% over two years, 19% in 12 months. Revenue up around 13%, accelerating revenue growth from Q1 (10.5%) to Q2 (16%). Contracts up 45%. Targeted acquisitions and cost management. All suggest continuing growth in profitability and FCF.

I guess this is not a share for the trader but looks like a decent long term option to me.

I got 100% but only applied for 100k shares. It looks like the more you applied for the less % you received.

Could it be related to existing holdings? I could not apply initially on HL because all of my holding was sold under a stop when the price fell but I immediately bought back 100k then I was able to apply for more so I chose to to apply for the same amount.

My allocation was what I applied for which was 100k shares.

Novice, how would you have known when to sell? Unless you had seen the leak before trading ceased then you may have sold but I guess you didn't see it, like most of us.

Didn't they say it was an Aussie Newspaper that presumably had been tipped off by the many insiders (ie fund representatives/Greatland employees) that were being offered a bargain whilst the mugs, who have kept Greatland Gold Going, sat here holding onto their shares that fell in value like a pebble on the day the news was confirmed.

Don' shareholders have to vote in favour first. The takeovers for companies that I have owned recently have taken many months. I'm no expert on this though.

Gold Bullion on hand at 31 Dec was about 7koz -

2023 Production was 441koz, gold sold 438koz so 3koz carried forward to 2024

Q1/24 Production 105koz - sold 93koz = 12koz + 7koz = 19koz carried forward.

All seems pretty open and normal to me!

If they sold that 7koz carried over from 2023 on 1st April the gain would be around $200/oz = $1.4m total gain. Good business!

The $1900/oz hedging cost $6.1m for 240,000oz so $25.41 per oz or %1.33 if I understand it correctly. That seems to be a relatively low cost to give an element of security.

The dividend policy for H2 seems sensible especially for those seeking long term growth. The declared Dividend exceeds the Group Free Cash Flow from normal operations by $10m and represents 56% of Cashflow pre Growth Capex.

Looking deeper into the figures shows that $108m of CAPEX was incurred in H1 with another $165m forecast for H2.

Gold Production needs to increase by 5% in H2 to meet the lowest forecast and 19% to hit the upper level.

The additional $57m of CAPEX will require an additional production of 81koz of gold to fund the CAPEX from production (ie $1936 - $1228 = $702 cash produced per oz - $57m/702 = approx 81Koz)

The top end of Forecast of 480koz will give a production uplift of just 42koz so half of the additional CAPEX will come from reserves/debt at the top level and most of it at the lower end. Martin Horgan states that CEY is on track for the mid point of the production range. This suggests that significant CAPEX will be funded from reserves so any additional dividend would further deplete reserves/shareholder value.

The good news is that CAPEX is forecast to reduce significantly in 2024 with a number of projects nearing completion that will also result in cost savings.
