It was asked, why hasn't Mou1 been tested yet. I believe this, as well as the cost of mobilising for just one well, might be the answer. A geologist friend described Mou1 as a 'technical discovery'. Given the location, I suspect that PG always planned Mou1 as a cheap test of concept to see if gas could be detected, otherwise why drill the very edge of the fan? I might be well off, but I think PG didn't want standalone Mou1 results to be underwhelming. Any commercial flow would be a success in my book, given the much better prospects elsewhere in the fan (Mou 2 and 3).
