Ta for clarification. Am still a fan of this. My view is that this is one of the many "unloved & overlooked" shares that slowly drift down in price until someone realises their worth. But I also believe in Santa Claus so dont take me too seriously.........good luck

I saw that as well. I have held these for some time. and over the last 12mths the sp has drifted down - for no justifable reason imho. I have just doubled my holdings on the basis of that report. If I am right - good. If I am wrong & have to wait a bit I will have a didi of + 9% to console me. BTW there was an article in yesterdays Telegraph - 500 job cuts to streamline admin costs. Indicates strong decicive management in my view?

Dont ask me - I called tops at 54.........lol.........doubling the costs only really works on small packets of shares if it really takes off........judgement call - only you can make.............gl

This has had a flyer of a week............I think more to come - figs out October - then maybe Market will see it has been massively oversold..................I dont think £1.50 is unrealistic? I have now a position at £0.72 and bought yesterday at £0.91...........and of course now I am suggesting that u havent missed the boat - they head south........!!!!!!!!!!! Not a big surprise the last week has seen a strong move up so some profit taking is inevitable........am going to watch carefully will bail out if it goes sub £0.90 then back in later.....am thinking about £1.30 in not to far time scale........Sometimes profit warnings can make you money????

Hi, this is going nicely. am + 30% now - but have bought some more............do have a look at where these were not that long ago..............I think they could go back to £1.50...........but as always dyor...............saw that if Id left my money in ukc I would have been about 10% down..........finally ty for comments on bdev - am still in but watching carefully.........didnt thet have figures out today? ..........good hunting.........

I like the business model............Buying up independant - established independent vets & applying economies of scale..........the sp scare was as a result of 2 profit warnings & yes they wont hit forecasts this year......But (unlike UKC( thank god im out) it will make a handsome profit est £9M.............I have followed similar models - BNH - insurance broking - got bought out in 2008 ( made a few bob there)................and Dignity - funeral directors - a bit of a plodder but again I am well up on %............seems a good concept..............WAIT ! .......Bingo...........what if UKC started buying up other Coal mines?????????? doesnt bear thinking about - does it? lol......good luck - no need to remind you to dyor, is there.............ps am looking at bdev - ty for the heads up...........

Apologies - been away on holidays - so a little out of touch. hope what I said helped rather than confused u scruff....fatty - am in xta at c 9.25 ( multi buys as per lol) this time am going to sit tight til 13+. well one can but live in hope..............Now Aviva and RSA...........hmmmmm...........merger would make economic sense - each has areas of expertise the other lacks...........believe it or now a combination of these two would be about 7 or 8 "independent companies" General Accident - Norwich Union - Commercial Union - Royal - Sun Alliance - Phoenix - Road Transport & General - Yorkshire etc etc..............as to a fair sp? God knows!!!!!!!!!!!! I have sold RSA - nice profit.............. still hold Aviva average about £4.00 - so on a loss atm............... but going hostile??? worth me holding............do you buy???? as usual my advice is DYOR............good luck guys...........

Certainly. Watch share price tomorrow when it goes ex-div.........My view is that it will drop by more that the div - which is 3.12p - if it does then I get more now that sp 2mro plus the div (& Id have to wait til 26/11 for it) - if it doesnt then I have got it wrong. Also have a look at the previous years trend - up & down fairly consistently between c 1.15 and 1.40 - I called tops at 1.36 & it has dropped since I sold at that price - again I may have got it wrong but I have made about 15% - works out at c22% per annum - that will do me quite nicely tyvm................and am awaiting 1.15 to go bk in & do it again. Course I cud have got it horribly wrong - but this share and a few others (xta is another) do seem to be fairly predictable..... & I dont spread bet so I can ( have to !!) wait til it goes my way again. Hope this helps --- & remember the warning DYOR.....
