Interesting but I'm not sure in this case that you can solve something in the same way that has already been solved - even at rock bottom difficulty - but again that could just be my lack of understanding of the algorithm etc.

Charming! And there you go again bigging yourself up. I just go on the basis that the more someone tries to big themselves up the smaller and less important they actually are. Seems to work out that way with most people in my experience.

As to your data - it's just data, reams of it, and you've never to my memory demonstrated how that data may be useful in any way or whether you even understand it. Like your frequent posting of the end of day UT - so what?

If others find your 'information' useful then of course great, that's their call, but I'll just go back to ignoring you as the board is better that way.

Not sure how that actually proves anything but then I'm not techie enough to understand the whole winning hash thing and whether you can really replicate it and demonstrate success with old data even if it was at the same difficulty (let alone a much lower one).

But that's my whole point mrhanji - how do you know 'small scale real time testing' is a success? You can't from the number of BTC mined as the scale isn't big enough to make a meaningful difference so what is the criteria or measure for 'success' on such a small scale? How do they tell and then demonstrate it to a potential partner?

Cheers Kipper, like you I just get frustrated at times - but more with certain posters and the delayed turnaround than just the sp.

I'm also personally not too worried about an RNS on the C1 sale. I'm assuming that will happen at some point and even if it doesn't it's just one part of a much bigger picture. As others have mentioned what is really needed to move the sp is consistently improved performance without one-offs muddying the waters (either way) but we may have to wait a little while longer for more definite signs of that.

It's depends on how many machines it is being tested on. If it is only a handful then it will be many years, if it is in partnership with a large miner it may take just weeks if that.

What I'm struggling with is how do they convince a large miner to test on a large enough number of their machines (never mind with the ESP complication) when the only way of proving it works is to have already tested it on a large enough number of machines? It needs a large miner to take a huge leap of faith surely?

Fair enough Kipper. Point taken. And yes, I do filter some but if you filter too many all you can see is green boxes and fragments of conversations. So, like you, the stuff I don't find of interest I just skip through and rarely comment on - like all of NF's posts which I find boring, irrelevant, often misleading and frequently just self-aggrandising. But I agree we will all find different things interesting so if they find an audience for their endless mutterings then so be it.

For the record Kipper I don't find you any of the things I've just described. I don't always agree with you but think you are a very genuine and enthusiastic poster which the board is all the better for and apologies if you took my post personally (I really didn't have you in mind at all)!

Totally agree, When people start talking about their holding I find it a real turn-off no matter what the size. This board seems to attract some good posters but also some others who like the sound of their own voice way too much and can't help making the discussion more about themselves than the company. It would be a lot better I think if people just left their inflated egos 'at the door'.

I agree that whatever else FG is and whether or not QBT succeeds it is hard to argue that FG isn't an extremely shrewd cookie.

Whether the faithful here stick by him should a raise happen before Christmas is another matter. For the benefit of Mikey etc. I am not saying a raise will happen but that in my OPINION it is very likely (IF the court money doesn't come through) based on the facts in the accounts (of cash in the bank and cash burn) and the setbacks recently stated in the RNS that suggest to me that spend isn't slowing down which it needs to in order to avoid a raise.

Of course if significant revenue materialises over the next few months then that will also mean a raise won't be necessary but again to me that looks unlikely given those setbacks and the stage they say they are now at. Again, just my opinion.

Just a matter of time before Mikey and others report these posts and they all disappear once more?

Not you. The poster who reported me for simply pointing out the difference between FCF and overall cash flow and that £70m FCF may not necessarily mean a positive cash flow overall.

Apologies - the £100m applies to three years not one (so around £30m pa).

Good advice. I should know by now it’s of no use debating with idiots on this board but sometimes it’s hard to resist.

The odd thing is that my comments were actually very bullish (certainly for me on BOO) as I think the forecasts are far too downbeat. Regardless of whether or not £70m of FCF translates into positive cash generated overall, the £70m itself seems absurdly pessimistic. If I believed it was at all close to accurate I would sell up now! I’m banking on a more impressive turnaround than that!!

Instead I got jumped on simply because I pointed out that FCF and overall cash generation are different and for BOO the overall cashflow has been up to around £100m a year lower than FCF - and those are facts whatever anybody else says - hence my comments.

I'm afraid you've lost me Ocean. I never said they would lose cash just because of interest payments.

I said they will probably lose case IF FCF totals just £70m over the next years as FCF doesn't include interest OR lease payments OR EBT share purchases - which together are quite likely to exceed £70m over the next three years (they were £95m over the last three). You somehow translated what I said into just referring to interest but that is a case of you misreading rather than me being misleading.

As to just reading headlines perhaps you should heed your own warning and understand what FCF actually means before commenting upon it.

I'm not saying they do - all I'm going on is that they have bought similar amounts every year for whatever reason so just to assume they suddenly stop now is a bit of a stretch.
