You've just repeated what he said. I'm asking how testing on just one rig can can demonstrate a 2.6x increased probability of finding BTC - unless it actually finds 2.6 x more BTC which of course it can't.

I know we don't always see eye to eye but your points are generally well reasoned and some of them have made me a little more optimistic than I was - and it's good to have intelligent debate rather than the childish bickering that is much more the norm here sadly (and I always feel annoyed about when I let myself get sucked into it).

I'm still less positive though on BOO than you are obviously and will stick to my exit price of 60p. Hope we get there and also good luck to you in holding out for more beyond that.

If they release decent figures/indications at full year then I may change my view but in the meantime I'm hoping that some corporate action or rumour will help lift the sp towards my target price.

No matter when the video was made he clearly states that "the turning point for a prospect to become a client is to see that one mining rig without our methods compared to one mining rig with our methods will show the improved performance that we have shown in the lab".

Can someone please explain how that is possible? Maybe it is just unfortunate phrasing and he really means mining rigs plural not, as he actually specifies, just one. At best it's an own goal at worst it suggests a hopeless cause.

That video is shocking. What can you hope to show with just one mining rig??? And it seems to confirm that they hadn't done any live testing at all yet. I thought before that it was a longshot they could get this to market. I now think the chances are nil. My only hope is a false spike now so rampers please get to work - you've got a tough job on your hands.

Did what to ARB? ARB is dying a slow death and it has nothing to do with any trolls. If anything it's demise is down to idiot shareholders who demanded they didn't sell any HODL or issue any more shares when they really ought to have done both.

Instead they saddled themselves with too much debt and when the downturn in BTC happened had to fire sell their HODL, half their new machines and their prize asset (HELIOS).

Unless you are talking about trolling on the way up but there was actually very little of that - other than to warn of the very things that eventually brought them down.

Bfd - I'm not sure why you discounted CPI as like BOO it is a thin margin business that last made a profit in 2022 but struggling to make one now. Leaving aside Capita though or any other similar company (like ASOS) and just focusing on BOO then its depressed sp in my view simply reflects the doubts over future profitability levels. Its operating profit is actually negative (before adjustments) and so I think is EBITDA but in any event it's overall profit that really matters and I still think there are plenty of challenges ahead to get levels of profitability anywhere close to where they were before.

I think you are being over confident about BOO and fast fashion generally (though I accept BOO isn't all fast-fashion now) so whilst I agree it is undervalued I don't think it is by as much as you do but that's fair enough and just means I'll exit too early if you're right. As for Shein's valuation let's see what it actually is once the bonnet's lifted.

My point really is that even if BOO was unique at being just worth a few months' revenue it is valued that low for a reason and in my view that's mainly its profitability and not shorts, MMs, a weak balance sheet (as you say it's pretty strong) or whatever - and they need to show a turnaround to really lift the sp. We know they are taking actions to try to do this but we won't know how successful they are being for at least 4 months now.

And yes, the £3 comment wasn't aimed at you but at the poster who had the nerve to celebrate possibly reaching 45p and the cheek to call other poster clueless when he was urging people to buy at close to £3 as they'd never get the chance again!

I think there are plenty if you look (ASC, CPI etc.) and I expect a popular theme will be profitability, or more particularly the lack of confidence about getting back to profitability let alone decent profitability (so it comes down to your definition of 'viability' I suppose). If BOO can, or even looks more like it can, then the sp will sort itself.

I think there's a question mark over the viability of the online fast fashion model generally though which is holding BOO (and ASOS) back - notwithstanding the welcome recent rise (after all 45p is hardly a great milestone to look forward to and coming from someone who said it was the last chance to buy under £3 not so long ago).

Unfortunately it's a long wait now until we get some idea of how much progress they are really making towards decent profitability - though obviously any macro tailwinds in the meantime would be helpful.

Why? Personally I'd much rather hear the negatives on any of my investments rather than just stick my fingers in my ears. You can't make any informed decisions if you're only wiling to hear one side of any argument.

The ETFs buy BTC as that is what the fund is linked to. It matters little to Blackrock what the price is as it is retail money in the fund not theirs and it is those retail investors that take the risk of BTC price going up or down. Blackrock etc. will buy more BTC if the funds are growing whatever the price of BTC and sell whatever the price if they are shrinking.

So talk of them manipulating the price to accumulate doesn’t make sense.

Plutuq - Actually I filter very rarely as I like to hear all sides. It's only when people bang on about the same thing endlessly (especially conspiracy theories) or only talk about other posters that I feel tempted to press the button. Much prefer to discuss news about the company but there is precious little of that and hence I suppose why the void is filled by bickering and agendas (mainly about people having agendas). There are the videos of course but I think the less said about them the better.

Then that's your fault. You don't have to listen (after all you usually don't). Everybody should do their own research and if you believe in your investment then whatever a 'troll' says shouldn't make any difference unless you've checked yourself and agree with whatever it is that they've raised. Take responsibility.

Keep hearing about weak holders, sellers and buyers but if they are that weak then perhaps they ought to be doing something else with their money or at least staying away from these kind of forums.

The 'education' just seems to consist of ramming the same message down our throats as if we're too thick to get it the first time. Not the best way of teaching and just clogs the board.
