In lehmans terms what does this mean for us private investors, how many shares are we allowed to buy on the offer please, many thanks H.
Well it’s just shy of 2 weeks before the updates due, imo the big share movements at the end of the day are positions getting ready for the conformation of the deal going ahead. I’m hoping it’s a strait forward thing as there has been soo many twits and turns, is it a possibility that the asset may also be bagged for next to nothing ? Considering the amount of oil that all ready been accumilated. Nice find about the tax laws changing makes it more attractive then it is already. As always G L all regards H.
Mmm trek yes there’s something definitely brewing, the spread is all very right - a good sign, I’m guessing the deal will be announced just before the 2 year anniversary, on a different note, good read on how the authorities seem to be getting to grips with the illegal oil refineries that are rife. I hope going fwd this is a ongoing focus of the new goverments promise

As always good luck and is the end nigh 😊regards H.
Hi all, I have been in this share for a absolute age, yes lost money, averaged down and again, luckily I can break even at 18p, which I think in the next 12/18 months is achievable. I was recently in zakopane Poland, I was pleased to see the dominos brand present yet in a small shop, but there it was. Soo I was surprised to see the shop opening times were only fri, sat, sun and not all week, limited hours as well. It’s a busy town in the south of Poland, prices were roughly 40% cheaper than here. For such a branded huge European name it was a shame there was no posters or flyers promoting domino’s.it needs more coverage imo. Regards H.
Hi sw yes I have now watched the interview from a couple of days ago and I also agree that Roger seems to be super confident, he also to me has a gleeful eager looking yes this is happening, it’s also interesting why the Exxon deal was chased after, to me it was because of the abundance gas contained with the shallow water blocks. Nigeria with seplat will develope great infer-structure supplying gas to millions of people eventually. Good also talks about the longevity of the company 25 years plus. Also moderate uplift in divi imminent. I’m really pleased I have held my nerve after these few years and added where I could to my smallish but blossoming investment. Regards H.
Link might help 😊

Hi seatank, thanks for the link but it shows a interview from 2021, which in itself was interesting too watch, I think you have you have to subscribe for the latest video, I am definately encouraged by the comments from other posters to say how positive it was. I was flicking through YouTube and found this from a few months ago which is worth a watch and not too long. Surely the deal is not too far away now with Exxon, lots of news due soon, exciting times.regards H.
So I have been looking through the Exxon deal that was posted on seplats website, I was searching for any kind of indication of time limits of completion that would have been attached to the original set up deal. With best intentions I cannot find it, I sort of remember was there an update or extension on the time limits to when the deal had to be completed by. If anyone can spot such info. Please would the point it out, I’m hoping as there is a little movement in the sp things maybe taking shape. Thanks H.
I have looked and wondered about the new gas facility at sapele, I seem to recall there was a $250 million investment, this was to be commissioned in December completed by January 24, I have looked on seplats rns feed etc and can’t find any reference to this. This is quite a step forward I think it was to supply a great deal more lpg to the market, can anyone find the revenue streams this may generate, because I can’t, might be my grey matter playing up again ! Thanks regards H.
Hi everyone, I just want to thank seatank, trek, temple and countless others that provide information, insight and debate for seplat. I have been here for a while and first noticed this share when seplat bought out eland oil. I have a small holding probably compared to others but very happy with my holding producing steady gains and of corse a healthy divi. It hasn’t been an easy share to watch, sometimes despairingly nail biting ! But I soon realised this has great potential. Anyhow may I wish you all a great Christmas and a prosperous new year. Regards H.
Mmm dare I say it, a small tree shake before some good news, I’ve seen it before them mms love a bit of scare mongering. T.O.D. good to see your still around. Bearing in mind the quite dramatic drop in oil price his is holding up very well. Patients still a must here, as December moves on if there is a flicker of news be sure the sp will let us know. GL all regards H.
Good write up if you have a couple of minutes.

It’s clear this share is not a quick fix, to me this year has not gone well, with various issues and ultimately the blame has to lie at the directors feet. Having said Ruth at it looks to me the company suits have grasped the issues and had to get on with rebuilding bridges as it was with shareholders and institutions alike. To me the next 12 months are critical, the share price is on its knees and confidence is what’s needed. This is not a quick fix and I have dyor and found although risky as a investment atm if a steady ship is maintained with the new gas compound coming on stream early next year and the Montana et all producing assets hold we will see pataints rewarded but it will take time. Good luck all. Regards H.
Well was that a buy or a sell 3000000 trade is a surprise
Hi trek/sea Thankyou both for the links and answers, voting was the combined but I know the answer now, looking through the original proposal it’s really good to read it through again, if the deal could still hold up the original terms or at least 80% this will be fantastic. Fingers crossed all will be revealed soon, yes it’s Nigeria but imo I’m hoping most of the nitty gritty has already been thrashed out. As always good luck all, regards H.
Seatank that’s great Thankyou
Hi trek, having had experience of acquisitions such as hopefully seplat will face, just a couple of questions if I may.
1) likely time span shares are suspended
2) you mention a vote, is this for the board or shareholders combined?
3) is it a lengthy process?
4) would seplat and nnpc effectively become one company with a combined structure?
My apoligies if some of the questions seem a little obvious.
It remains still very exciting and highlights seplat certainly as a recognised power company for years to come. Thanks H.
All seems very positive news, I wished I was a fly on the wall in that meeting, I really do hope the discussions were at point and RB went in with an end game strategy. As we all know this has rumbled on long enough, all the pointless futile games that were thrown into the mix to delay the J.V. have tome looked like the have subsided. It was interesting to see a couple of expertly placed directors were bought on board lately, also interesting that seplat edged nearly 8 % on near closing in Nigeria Friday. I so hoping seplat is constructing a RNS for Monday as we speak, if they are it’s hold on to your hats, I still reckon it will Be a 70/30 deal, anyone else have any thoughts? As always the end may by neigh (at last) regards H.
A very balanced set of results, everything going in the right direction, divi held as promised, more wells are being drilled, there to me is a sense of hope with the Exxon deal being approved. A sniff of a special divi too, anoh as expected (delayed). Different thread please read report from bbc on world oil prices. As always keep holding those golden nuggets.
