Hi Pj I have been looking at the average selling price of the oil that seplat has been selling over the last 3 months or so abd the qua iboe/bonny ect have been all trading in excess of $100, also the yoho platform is due to become operational by the end of june (maintence due to a fire) this will add roughly 10K boepd, so really the figures are eye popping and indeed the 2nd quater results as you commented have the potential almost to wipe the debt out.

on a different subject that I hope someone may have some info. is that I rcieved the divi yesterday and as in the past have been aware of the nigerian holding tax whic is 10% before landing in our accounts, how do we go about in claiming the 10% tax back with HMRC ? also is it something people do? your help would be very apprieciated. thanks H.

After watching the update video from the CEO I get the impression although he didn’t quota that zenith is quietly confident at this stage how the proceedings went. Also at time# it got quite heated and the defence council appeared to be maybe ill equipped with answers to awkward questions when u dear oath must be clear with honesty. I’m happy so far but this is international court so will have a lengthy run time too. Again this is my take on what was reported.

Just out of curiosity when will zenith receive the proceeds of the $11 m awarded to them for the first case please?

Very interesting artical about Nigeria and its struggle to provide the quotas of oil that is needed looking forward, frocados terminal heavily mentioned. Bit of a read but worth it. I can see why seplat is and will be a very important company going forward for energy supply and tge coffers for the government

Good evening, I was looking through the winning licensing rounds for Nigeria and I noticed seplat had won the license for ppl 307 I think it was in the new of the region maybe Benin, this was won at the end of last year and would of cost about $5 m as a exploration area only. I now wonder if all the activity with rig contracts lately could be linked in with gaining this license, but I’m guessing seismic data would have to be done first. I tried to look at any further info on when seplat is due to do the testing and when but nothing popped up. Anyone have any info about timescale and given the area what is likely to be there, ie gas or oil. Thanks and regards H.

Good morning, I had stumbled on this news earlier today and was quite taken back on what this would develope into as I guess seplat energy will have a play in this looking forward. Although the project is in its early stages the revenue/potential for shipping gas is enormas and according to reports is very much needed, once arriving at morrocco the gas (if not used by morrocco) can be then passed onto the european gas market from there. The Nigeria–Morocco Gas Pipeline (NMGP), also known as the African Atlantic Gas Pipeline, is a proposed $25 billion infrastructure project designed to transport natural gas from Nigeria to Morocco and onward to Europe. Spanning approximately 6,900 kilometres, it is set to become the world's longest offshore pipeline, linking 13 African nations along the Atlantic coast. Regards H.

Hi e43 yes shame the frocados terminal had to have that downtime, figures looking strong as you say, anoh slowly arming up, debt coming steadily down and can I just clarify 8.3 c divi paid in May in addition there will be a 9c in June too? Hi SOB you were wondering about the lagging SP, for me I have been in this shamble share for a while, go back maybe a few years the montara / stag balls up was prevalent to the sp diving, in that imo shareholders became spooked because I dont think no everything was transparent as it could have been. The fso was not upto H&S regs therefore in effect shut down. This stopped jadestone in its tracks, it took an absolute age to repair and lack of info from jadestone didnt help. This left a bad taste in the investors mouth, it took a while to sort out and really has never recovered fully. So the viet nam project has been given approval, which is great news but its best part of 2 years before this will produce ££££. Thats my take on things, regards H.

Although this is a great update, I remind myself this is best part of 2 years away, best case scenario, this may sound a little negative but let’s hope the board dont further dilute the share base by awarding themselves thousands in ‘pat on the back awards’ for doing there job there handsomely paid for. yes I’m a little disgruntled shareholder with a small holding compared to others but for sometime but I do hope the jade stone management remember the long suffering stalwarts that have stood by while seeing board changes that are not for the weak.

Generally I’m pleased to see this long awaited news and to the likes of other posters on here hopefully it’s up from here and fingers and toes crossed we could see the levels that were before the stag balls up.

Well Hormuz is closed-partially blocked I see this didn’t last long, the insurers are again worried about oil tankers passing through the straits refusing in some cases not to cover if the tankers get hit or threats of the mines don’t help. I’m expecting the prices to rebound again come Monday as like everyone else. Well I’m enjoying the last of my holiday for now. Regards H.

Yes a few years well the sp swings back a few times was t for the weak, original stake was 2019 I kept adding until 2023 not massive silly amounts but what I could afford. God looking back I made some awful calls, gkp,sey,Cau and rkp to name a few, but I soon started to wise up research and patients eventually paid off with this, but losses were already there.

The figures you have put into prospective is quite unbelievable in payouts too, divis look very healthy going forward,but as you mentioned it relies on the mr brown and co. keeping to there word, also conservative estimates too, the reserves will come into play at sometime and Nigeria is crying out for gas wet or dry. So all looking very rosey here.

So I’m now looking to seek out / search for other oilys that are potentially down on there luck as it was, I had dipped my toe (yes stupidly) and got burned in Jse I have kept averaging down and luckily only a few thousand down now, the stinker was really the Montana asset the dragged everything under, but with the new licensing on Vietnam and the huge newly built gas asset now up and running coupled with the premium oil prices I have a hunch this will eventually turn good, if either are able to give a opinion it will be very much appreciated, if not then no worries.

Zens a interesting case too, arbitration this one mainly, have a small amount in (but all profit only, took my original stake out last week)

You have too share, if seplat follows the path you have suggested I will be a very happy chap. As like you I have been here for some time, must admit I only stumbled on seplat due to being a holder in eland oil many moons ago. I’m guessing the dividends will start to gain pace from here, also the comparison of an increase of $30 dollars makes on a barrel in quite unbelievable. In fact what small snippet or view posted on here regarding seplat is I’m sure welcomed by all, thanks and regards H.

Hi PJ just a few of my thoughts and yes the question has popped up in my mind.

Reason for not selling

Share price will still rise due too some overwhelming factors such as, Bonny oil price (130$) likely to stay there for a while.

increased bopd (well commission programme)

increased gas sales due to anoh finding its feet.

Improving Nigerian fx stabilising

MSCI admission to ftse in sept with broker houses accessing investment.

The revenues for this year alone I think will be mouthwatering, lowering if tax incentives, increased dividend will come into play.

Seplat could almost be debt free by 2027.

As seatank has pointed out th his will be at £6 soon, even beyond that, for me I’m keeping my shares (although topsliced a minimal amount at £4.80 for CG)

I’m now looking at a great supplement to my retirement fund with the divis, seplat has said it’s aim is to return $1bn back to shareholders by 2030.

I have a feeling that seplat in time will be bought out by a investment arm, main reason is this company will soon indeed be a huge cash cow, have a hunch here may even be further acquisitions as the company expands further. Good luck as always you fellow holders regards H.

Hi sea I was willing the share to break the resistance levels this week, it walled right through the £4.94 to £5 which were minor then medium next major level is £5.04~£5.14. Such exciting times with as you said more to come, next company meeting is schedual 29 April, wished I was a fly on the wall for that ! Regards H.

Well just flicking through the volume today and between 1209 and 1311 there were 59m shares traded at £5.00, main chunks were in 13m buys, biggest day trades I have seen, something must be brewing, also paying a premium of £5, im guessing the whiff of revenue and up scale of the oil price definately had a baring on this. £5 by Friday wow. Surely his won’t keep going at this pace? Regards H.

Thanks sea and E 43 for those figures, although estimated / rough idea it’s clear that it’s worth having in fact the figures are quite good, the company has said it will return some of the tax rebate to share holders which could add quite nicely to the growing divi payments that are promised from the last few years.
