The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Endless dilution to pay the salaries of folks who don’t seem to be able to extract any gold after many many years
Last July Ernst & Young did all this
No issues here
All audited & checked
https://www.lse.co.uk/rns/DARK/conclusion-of-ernst-young-llp-review-putyemdewvvkdw1.html
And there are a good 20-30 companies who would fight to buy Dark at this discount level
Thx - has the potential to be an ARM on steroids it's so undervalued for a buyout
Got to be a lot of companies approaching them at this price
Crowstroke vs Darktrace
Market Cap $78.59B vs $3.71B
ARR $3.44B vs $702M
Revenue $845.33M vs $545.43M
Customers 23,019 vs 9,232
Dark have 40% of the customers of Crowd
64% of the revenue
20% of the ARR
BUT are only valued 4.7% against Crowd
Buying the customer base & ARR would be a bargain with their buying power even at 2x to 3x current SP / Market Cap

Below 1%and this will be off again - me thinks the boys are loading up cheap thanks to KKR
Only 1 shorter - is this a mass collaboration between the city boys ....
That’s where all the big growth comes from - partnerships! Just look at Oracle, IBM, HP, Cisco etc etc etc most revenue through channels as it 1000x’s your workforce to go to market
These guys have been invested a LONG time so it makes sense to cash out
- February 2015 - Series A funding Talis Capital $10 million
- July 2015 - Series B funding Summit Shareholders $37 million
- July 2016 - Series C KKR DA $34 million
- July 2017 - Series D funding Insight Venture Partners $50 million
- September 2018 - Series E funding Vitruvian Partners $50 million
- July 2020 - issue of convertible loan notes to certain existing investors, including KKR DA, Summit
Shareholders, Talis Capital, TenEleven Ventures, Hoxton Ventures and Balderton Capital $163 million
Yep they would have known
That’s why insiders have to publicly declare their trades
I know if I needed a chunk of cash before the next trading window closes and the SP was at a level I need I would cash out a chunk
They still have plenty more left too see in the future
Somebody(s) BOUGHT 19,400,000 shares at 425
Enough said 😁
As a reminder also
Kleiner Perkins were the Series A investor in Amazon
“ In June of 1996, Amazon raised an $8 million Series A round from Kleiner Perkins. This investment and strategic partnership allowed Amazon to grow all the way to an IPO in 1997. The IPO raised $54 million for Amazon, giving the company a market value of $438 million.”
They cashed out early and then

Still a good name doing well but shows all the companies they buy into and sell out of even though successful after IPO as the biggest gains are in getting in on Series A, B or C funding but it means waiting a long time to get your money back after IPO lockup which you need for the next ones ….
Seed investors always pull out
Take profits
Invest in the next one
No seed investor leaves money there forever
Same for all tech startups
Cash out after successful IPO & lock up period ends
Nothing sinister just profitable seed investing
420 to 480 would be a nice 14% from here
420 to 512 a nice 22%
Bargain potential here based on performance of previous platings sold below market with what happened in following weeks
Going into 2nd auction
Looks like 425 will be a solid re priced base for the new IIs who’ve just bought in to build from towards the 519.80 target consensus value from 16 analysts
Late June / Early July
Still profit for them but wonder why they did so cheap - clearly the IIs who bought them up will want to see that go up so just needs to let dust settle
Just goes to show they don't know it all as they sold those 4% at 346 as the SP rose to 490 +41.6% after the results
* IIs
Its get the shares cheap pre IPO and are locked in for a period before they can sell on to other Its/Funds
There have been 5 previous placings
5 Aug 21 $100m sold @ 620 & SP rose to 985
30 Sep 21 $225m sold @ 750 & SP rose to 950
12 Nov 21 11m shares @ 580 & SP dropped to 376 (ML News hot then)
26 Apr 22 6m1m shares @ 410 & SP rose to 425
27 Jul 23 3% of company 17m shares @ 375 & SP rose to 419
the 7am RNS on the 21 Mar 24 2.5% results will no doubt show 461 appx & I'd expect an 4% to 11% rise over the next week as the stock is being bought up.
480 to 512 is my guesstimate by end of month
Fiscal data, profit & growth is solid
