I believe Mark Austin has now been with Alba for 3 years now.
I'd imagine he's done a good job with the company, despite all the resistance from the powers that be at NRW !!
Hopefully if this is right, his 4th year will show the Golden rewards for his hard work along with the several other prospective licenses and the chance to get out into the field and find some more Gold, Silver etc for the company.
Best Wishes Mark and if we ever get this shareholders meeting in Wales sometime, when there's something good to share, then I'll buy you a pint of a nice Welsh beer if you'd like.
Cheers HDT
I think it was 11am today. I'd imagine with the removal of certain points, it may well have been a quicker event than may have been anticipated.
I don't think many shareholders would have attended, but not sure as from below message from the recent RNS.
Shareholders allowed to participate in the pole (No mention of attending !!)
Notice is hereby given that the AGM will be held at The Hellenic Centre, 16-18 Paddington Street, London W1U 5AS at 11.00 a.m. (UK time) on Thursday, 23 November 2023. All shareholders are invited to participate in the poll.
The info should be out sometime today I'd imagine, it may have been a little bit more awkward than anticipated and the reason why the points where removed is the obviously had the votes in advance and didn't want the additional embarrassment. I hope it doesn't cost us much/anything to remove the 2-3 directors.
We've had so much money from Wressle and squandered it on, over paid inefficient directors to date. If Inishkea comes through, then fine there will be a temporary reprieve for the remaining directors. But they also need to appreciate the PI's have lost potentially thousands on and off paper and they should if morally decent reduce their fixed wages and maybe get bigger bonuses for SP increase along with profits from Wressle, Cloughton !! farm out started from Inishkea and potentially something positive from Serenity etc.
We are all in here for a positive benefit, this is NOT just a company to keep directors in wages for none positivity.
Just another bit of video for those that maybe interested, from "Abandoned and Forgotten Wales".
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KTGHL8SDrk4&t=1s
If this is the main entrance to the mine and with all the holes in the floor along the tunnel and at least a hole or so in the higher area (roof for want of a better word) then I'd hate to imagine what the costs are for preparing the mine for working in the 21st Century.
I do want to see the mine as I'm sure many other shareholders are as well, but realistically again, How many of us would be fit enough to do the mine in its "Video State".
I know a decent pair of walking boots wouldn't cut it ! I'd probably need a defibrillator on stand by once I got to the site !! lol (Only Joking).
I would think that much of the fallen rockwork debris and holes have been repaired and cleared away by now. There was also what looked like a rail for presumably an old cart type thing for moving the ore etc.
That would probably need replacing (But please store for potential future historical exhibit !!) GF mentioned a museum idea on a previous interview.
I'd also think, but I don't really know, the tunnel has narrow points along the way, I'd think these would also need widening but for no commercial gain unless lucky, for future access for trucks etc. (I'm just guessing).
Could anybody say if this is our part of the "St. David's Mine" or is it another entrance in the same type area?
Anyway I thought I'd look for one of them tour things that seem to be popular at the moment (Maybe !!) and see if I can justify one of my earlier comments and assessments, Just a thought and again making conversation.
GLA DYOR etc
I agree nobody wants a placing as its dilutive etc.
But realistically, the company cannot buy additional machinery and staff to run them without an income.
Unfortunately at this time there is no income and the gold wont just fall out of the rocks into out hands.
I as well as everybody else want this company producing, but we need the "money to make money".
I'd expect with all the rain and the NRW delays and the sheer amount of work that would probably be needed to do from an unknown under water mine, that will also probably have been stripped bear 30+ years ago that we will have a money pit of expenses.
As we are also all aware "Health and Safety Regulation" has improved !!! in the last few decades since the mine was operating, and if you look at many of the videos on youtube about the gold mines of which we have 1-2-3 off probably, the basic wooden platforms and ladders etc that can be seen are dangerous at best.
We cant have GF and MA and anybody else just jumping from one area to another etc. the insurance claims would kill us before we got the first few ounces.
So yes unfortunately there will be more placings, there will be shareholders getting peed off and THERE WILL be a light at the end of the tunnel.
I don't want this to sound gloom and doom, I'm not de-ramping (I've a lot of shares already in here). I'm just trying to be practical and realistic, I got fixed on the romance of the Gold Rush, I've watched Todd Hoffman and Parker develop as well and it's never all plain sailing and easy.
I am in business as some of you may have imagined and it's bloody tough out there with all these regulations etc etc.
We have to pay the bills and be a bit shrewd sometimes with information and plans and sometimes like me "Tighter than a ducks backside" when spending.
But if the BOD DON'T think, and plan and get this problem sorted as best they can then we will end up like "Scotgold !!" (Gold in the hills and no money to dig it out "at a cost effective price").
I have every confidence in the current small BOD, (I hope it's not blind faith) and I'm sure we will have an RNS sometime saying we've seen gold and there looks like quite a bit of it, but we need to drill and dynamite and process to estimate how much.
I'm in and I'm watching to get more in, I'd love a meeting on/near site with the top 2 team plus junior geologists and a plan for 2024 onwards.
Anyway again just my view, DYOR etc and GLA.
If you sell on this opinion and the SP drops below .0008 then I'm after your shares, so "not professional advice" but I'm not a seller as I think there's some good future hear. Fingers crossed.
Best wishes to you all, I'm going home, I've done enough for today.
I'd imagine the dewatering extension to 250m2 will be out soon (I think 28 day public consultation was mentioned).
So potentially early December and with confirmed winter working and the EPSL extended then, with a bit of luck and maybe the storms hopefully being small to staying away !! We might just get to the bottom of level 4 and with bit of Christmas excitement and some bright lights ! we may see a few Golden Baubles in the rocks.
Then for a nice Shareholder RNS present, prior to 25th December (week commencing 18th Dec RNS ?) then SP up hopefully .0015 to.002 with a then needed for next stage of development placing 500K+ at .00125+.
I'd imagine the workers will be off for a couple of weeks (maybe skeleton crew visiting to ensure the mine doesn't re flood)
Then hopefully it's already being worked on a "production application for extending the license further to production".
I'm not sure how these things work but if we could set to a minimum target and then beat that, then that would be potentially great PR.
Then hopefully "Happy New Year" and Alba start getting to the Gold and the SP we would expect/dream of.
All just my opinion and as they say DYOR and GLA.

Another You tube Update, always a positive and good the information is still coming through.
Nice one GF and keep it going.
Maybe for the PR some short videos of the young work placement Geologists getting samples from the various prospects from the various licenses with MA showing his wisdom and experience (Might have to pick nice weather days though).
Alba branded Hi-viz jackets, hard hats where needed and a few tools being used whether rock hammers, buckets and gold panning etc (Always good to watch).
So many ideas with potential, I'm sure you've already thought off.
Anyway if your reading GF & MA, keep up the good work.
GLA etc
I appreciate your call for people to by a few shares Pickedpeck, but 1, 10,...1000, .... few million, don't seem to make much of a difference. For some reason only known to the people losing, there still seems to be an impatience waiting for something more positive than the now regular updates, so they're quite "happy !!" at accepting a loss on whatever they may have paid higher than the current very low price.
Yes every purchase of shares and holding should tighten the price positively, but will only make a longer term improvement if demand outstrips supply. Sorry this reads like I'm "teaching people how to suck eggs 1". Just making conversation really so no offenses. I think 2024 should now see some positive news and hopefully some decent flashes of Gold.
GLA etc
Have I missed something?
It seems nicely busier today and the only chunky sale so far seems to have quickly been taken back up.
Not much on the Groc side, not sure about HH issues !!
The paranoid investor would suggest the people in the know are buying.
Is there an inclination from our friends at NRW that something is brewing. I'm only guessing, so I would prefer an RNS but that's maybe if there is some news.
Maybe all the rain and the emergency works has got them down to Level 4, for just safety reasons.
Anyway fingers crossed, whatever is happening or not, Have a great weekend all, Keep dreaming Gold.
Nice article, putting a nice friendly face on to Alba plus a bit of history etc.
Always good to keep in with the news, its keeping us in a spotlight small or large and is always a positive for this type of story.
Always little positives accumulate and make a difference over time.
If the voice is all you are complaining about then I assume you have no complaints on the presentation itself?
Mr Bernstein is the Main Company Director of a mining company with Graphite, he's not applying for a job on Jackanory!!
Come on CleverThoughts have a clever though and discuss the company, we are not digging up exiting rainbows here!!.
Chill out and have a nice day.
Hi itsawrap, do you know of any comments etc from the meeting regarding the Egdon note. just seems another possible delay and more information about fireworks and traffic etc. Councils !! more waffle and self importance ego's.
I agree Ocelot, very lacklustre response. I'd imagine that there's not a lot of Private investors or maybe indeed institutional ones that know about GROC. There's also not a lot of trading stock available in decent quantities, hence why the SP reacts up or down to only a few trades (with a big spread).
I'd imagine and hopefully the news may get some needed publicity of the graphite needed in the battery's. Most news on this type of issue seems mainly on Lithium, so I'd suggest it's only a matter of time, along with SB seeming to be in the spotlight reasonably often, so hopefully a steady increase in SP, a couple of decent placings over 2024 to get the infrastructure started and with that, hopefully a lot more new investors knowing what is going on, then a takeover bid at optimistically 30p+ very rough estimate after placings etc at 30p MC £50M +, this is very optimistic currently but do able and small change for the big boys fed up with China etc.
As always DYOR and GLA etc
Well hopefully Robbie you can pick some up whilst they seem cheap.
I got a few in September at .00084 and another chunk in October at .000822, unfortunately all my previous purchases are from 0.001 to .002, so I'm still under water as they say, but I'm hoping Alba will "dewater my deficit" with some good news.
Well you've got to smile a bit or you just get stressed and it's unfortunately out of our hands with NRW and the weather and the various contactors doing or being able to do their various jobs. I'm still quite confident and I'm watching and reading everything and making notes, hopefully for this potential shareholders meeting sometime, in the not to distant future. (If your reading GF, please not on a Wednesday) maybe even a couple of dates if possible.
Anyway GLA etc
There's not much making sense over the last few weeks or so !!!
.
Groc with great PEA slightly down today but up 17% over last 5 days but still less than the 4.5p placing I got in and with all the world/china troubles I'd expect a higher SP with another placing around 7.5-10p hopefully to get infrastructure started waiting for a joint venture/takeover.
Alba down lower than before we got the dewatering permission and quite a bit lower than the needed placing that was done to get the work going so we may see some gold in the rocks before Christmas hopefully.
loads of prospects in the pipeline and a gold price creeping up on world problems. Again I'd expect higher SP with another placing around .0015 - .002p to hopefully start a plan on production plus a processing plant that can work on new mined ore as well as the waste tips etc.
Aim UK Oil & Gas shares generally down although its coming up to winter prices for Gas, along with Oil issues potentially escalating due to conflict in middle east. Could well see Oil at $150/ barrel or whatever the BRICS currency trades it in.
Seems like a perfect storm for SP rises or are people just a bit frightened and taking it out in cash and hiding in away to get an inflation caused reduction in wealth.
Time to buy Gold or maybe some shares in a nice potentially good Gold mine in Wales.
GLA DYOR etc etc
Ok, I'm a bit fed up myself with this company now. So on this protest how can I add my holding to the issues being discussed. (1.6M holding (not lots but it adds up). Who is the person organising this please?
Well I love all the optimism today. It makes a refreshing change.
Ducks lining up for a 10 bag bonus, Chinese chucking their chop suey out of the pram and a whole host of new targets "in them there hills".
Nice one all.
"Don't mention NRW, I mentioned it earlier but I think I got away with it" Lol (Fawlty Towers version sketch"
GLA and keep up the positive vibes.
Steady yes, slowly, frustratingly yes.
I would have expected more cash to hand as well with these results.
Ok Wressle has not given anything over the last few weeks and will have cost quite a few pounds with the jet pump and associated installation costs etc.
But what ever has happened to the refund from Serenity ? I've not seen or heard anything about that from when it was due to be returned from the (escrow) I think account.
Should this be taken for granted as its returned? maybe, but there does seem to have been a very slow increase in cash over the last 6-12 months.
Any comments or updates appreciated.
To me the cash would expect to be important to the SP, but it seems with the potential for spending millions on any one development that the small Aim companies a few million can easily be spent.
GLA etc
Well the work is on going.
Today they've uploaded a video on the acoustic test works.
This video shows jet washing, drilling and a detonation (sound effects included).
So cheer up everybody, the SP is at the bottom end again but they are still working on the mine and we have to keep the powers that be (NRW) happy that we wont be waking up the bats this winter.
All is progressive and this will / should allow Alba to keep working over the winter.
This will be on level 3 as already notified as level 4 is still flooded.
My thoughts are if level 3 passes the sound issues then level 4 being deeper should also pass "logically" and our friends at NRW should pass the permits for winter working.
Knowing our luck they will want Level 4 as well (even if we are under water still !!) but keep smiling and keep the paperwork straight.

GLA and have a great not so wet weekend.
I must have missed a few sales there as I've noticed a few have been bought under .0008. missed that one, maybe tomorrow. !!
Hi Robbie,
I'm not sure but If a seller continues to sell without a buyer then the Market Makers will then hold the shares.
If this is the case and the MM aren't looking to take over anything as it's not their job then they will be stuck with them trying to temp buyers to take there stock at the lower sold to them price if possible or they themselves would take a loss if they cant get shut (except a normal holding level Min 500,000 "Market Size"). Maybe I'm wrong, and I'm sure somebody will point this out.
I know on HL if I try to buy 3M then I get a price at .000884 any more i.e. 3.5M+ then there not available unless I leave an order then it maybe filled. (I didn't buy any today, it was an experiment)
So any traders out there with a bit more of an insight, then Me and Robbie plus more I'm sure would like to know more.
Anything positive is appreciated.
Cheers GLA etc
