Question: thinking about Microsoft and their partnership with Darktrace, and other smallish tech companies (Blue Prism, Device Authority etc), do we think a bid to takeover Darktrace is on the cards at any point?

I bought more yesterday and I'm confident this will rise to 450+ again v soon.

Were going up v quickly which is great but not exactly sustainable... Obviously not peak/highest levels yet but we're close.

I don't have a number but if results are good or better than expected we could see a new high and maybe 800+.

Still cheap compared to competitors and with a better IP. Long term up but short term, who knows!

Hmm ones I have are microfocus (not been a winner), TERN (TBC but I'm up, could be huge), AWE (as mentioned), PRSM (still hold some), MGP, CWR, ITM. Maybe LOOP in the future.

Some I regret but with these small businesses all it takes is time to get traction.

So I mainly invest in smallish/recent IPO UK tech and yesterday was a bumper day all round. Everything up 8-10%.

Maybe all my stocks are gonna be bought up this year :)

Very possible... As previously said ML and his group have form for selling businesses when they hit a certain level.

There are many big US companies who would be interested in DTs IP and their system. I wonder how easy it is to 'plug in' with existing MS programs etc...?

Hopefully their partnership would be beneficial in the long term.

Agree this growth is unexpected however I believe over the long term it is still low.

Can't say I haven't sold and bought back in at a lower price however I'm confident this is a longer term hold than the previous pump and dump we saw last month.

Yes, a long term hold for myself also.

CS took years to be where it is,. Hoping for a slightly shorter turn around but definitely hoping this becomes a UK success story and an icon for British innovation. Maybe McLaren will do well with DT on their wing :)

As much as I want to see the price rise to 700+ I'm happy with this.

Consolidation was the word of the month in July and that is what we're getting. Slow upward growth is surely a good thing. Dark is my main stock now and I used cash from other shares to buy more at key points.

My aim is to hold into the 1000s in a couple of years time and enjoy learning the art of holding through a relatively unstable stock. Once we see results and the ML issues pass we should be on sturdier ground as the overall market isn't going down, that's for sure!

Is volume good this week?

Are IIs gradually selling their stakes to keep the price HIGH as well as offloading and this is flooding the market with additional shares?

Thoughts? Apologies if I've missed HKKs (or anyone else's) analysis previously who usually provides such insight and data

I agree with you Charles, I'm still building my holding slowly. I think September will be fantastic for Darktrace and will back back in the 700s eventually.

Clearly the price is being held artificially low IMO, thus is a great opportunity..? I bought from 565 to 630 so my average is good.

@Max, surely this is a low risk high reward situation for yourself? If it drops buy more. Eventually DT will be back in the 700+ range, surely?

Hi Charles, not sure to be perfectly honest. My personal view is their products are in increasing demand, they're a new IPO that are in profit and seem to hold a good IP with real value. I'm more of a cyber/RPA investor but I think AWE are fairly safe and I'm kicking myself for not selling at 450 as I took my eye off the ball. Could they be back in the 400s soon? Maybe... More likely than 200s IMO
