If you look at wescoal's chart it's remarkably similar to ours. Maybe there's less of UC deal priced in than I thought....encouraging if nothing else :-)

Well if you read the last few RNS then I believe it is. The last condition was met when enter into subscription agreements. If it's not then will find out next Friday if deadline going to be extended. I'm slightly puzzled by people questioning whether deal will happen given both boards have given green light for takeover. Assume selling are this who made a quick 100% taking profit, and commodity/stock weakness yesterday. If the latter is the case then it's more bullish as market not expecting deal to be done which, in my opinion, is incorrect.

Yes Boz, EIA stats show a big draw. According to Platts, Chinese coal imports are up 35% year to date.

Assuming a p/e of 30 universal currently producing net earnings of £8m/year; coal is moving up etc etc and universal will be producing more etc etc so that's a valuation of £240m, so even with dilution to come from 2 subscription agreements that's over 11p. So even if rest of assets come to nothing still a bagger at least. But for argument sake: Vele now profitable with coal at these prices and company will make decision soon; Mooiplaats might be sold or run themselves; Makhado valued at $335m and thermal coal a lot higher now; and lets nots forget GSP which contains 3 times the size and assets of Makhado!! That's the blue sky here boys. Or we just get taken out by the Chinese long before then. Whichever ways you look at it, you don't want to be out when the news comes :-)
