Need to get Makhado land access sorted and off take sorted. Once these boxes are ticked then we’ll see a rapid revaluation. No idea where we are with land access. Minister was meant to have signed off expropriation of final two farms but nothing seems to have materialised. We have Mining Rights which gives us access. If Ramaphosa looking for investment in SA then they have to sort issues like this quickly

Cheers Boz. The other rumour was Exxaro are selling their stake in Tronox to reinvest in coal. Not sure this is the case as meant to be diversifying out of coal, but they’re spending R100m on roads in Limpopo. Given the current shortage of coal, would buying us not be a sensible option?

Another week goes by without an RNS but at least 1) significant move higher in coal prices this week; 2) nice jump in $Rand today; 3) Eskom desperately need coal suppliers; 4) volumes in this stock continue to increase- April on course for highest monthly volumes this year;

MC Mining is not involved in the expropriation process although I am told that the Minister has signed it off. According to their website, the SA land claims judiciary has been on its Easter break since 1st April and the department effectively re-opens tomorrow on Monday 16th April. So hopefully everyone should get some clarity next week. A couple of SENS/RNS would be helpful for everyone.

Looking at holder information, difficult to believe the seller has much more to go. The way it’s being executed, it must be a distressed seller, there’s certainly no finesse behind it.
