Gold M&As are currently active as are Lithium deals. I looked earlier at the current copper price because we have funded a pre-IPO tailings deal. I was pleasantly surprised at the price, $8,188 per mt. I know the trolls will start wetting themselves but these things are relevant.

When RRR eventually pursues the larger compensation case it will have to obtain advice on the quantum for the claim: the higher the copper and cobalt prices are is good for the quantum. It is also relevant to the Macalder Tailings and to Luanshimba.

Remember the promise from Gecamines was that there was at least 400k mt of copper and 24k mt of cobalt. The current price of cobalt is about $30k per mt.

The point I took and the reason I posted it was that it indicated that people are still looking to do deals in lithium. If you have a search around you will see lots of deals on the go all over the place.

I doubt that RRR would want to do a deal on ALR at the moment.

There is also more commentary today that China is seeking to manipulate the lithium price to pick up assets cheaply.

Where we are likely to get deals (I don't know for the conspiratorially minded) Burkina Faso (5 licences two issued), Cote d'Ivoire (7 licences two issued), Kenya (once renewal is sorted) x 2 and Australia.

When BF, CDI and Zimbabwe were set up the idea was to structure them, do a land grab and then IPO them. Things too longer than they should and the markets changed. NB AB has previously said as much before the trolls start wetting themselves about insider knowledge.

So he is standing down on a temporary basis. He was the Mining Minister in Ecuador in the past. Ecuador is a bit of a mess at the moment.

Are you referring to the JV for lithium in Argentina? RRR doesn't have assets in Argentina. I haven't seen the details but it is likely brine.

Theoretically they do but in practice probably not. Resident in an overseas jurisdiction, is the FCA going to pursue it and on what basis?

I was in a company a few years back where there was a significant Chinese holding and no TR1s. The broker was a mate and I spoke to him about TR1s: he said, "so what is the FCA going to do? Open a case and try to get a conviction in China?"

Unless their is a criminal aspect, it looks like the FCA have got better things to do.

The requirement is for shareholders over 3% to inform the company and then for the company to confirm the TR1 via RNS.

There is currently no requirement to inform the FCA in respect of AIM listed companies.

Having said that if an investor is overseas resident, exactly how is the FCA going to force disclosure, even if it decided that it wanted to do so? Unless the person is seeking to secure an advantage or engage in a fraud, I am even sure it is an offence.

So NTOG just got access to $9m worth of seismic for no upfront cost.

Pretty decent deal.

Cost of the carry $800,000 x 3 x0.125 = $100,000. Incurred as and when; plus as operator NTOG gets to bill the JV for its costs.

Sounds like good news but that probably doesn't help with the digestion.
