In my experience of investing over many years, I've yet to see a buyback move the SP in any meaningful way. Give me a dividend any day of the week and again on Sunday. At least that can be reinvested and compounded over time. That's said, I'd love to be proven wrong but I'll be amazed if there's a dividend in the first set of remainco results. We'll see on Wednesday. GLA

I suspect he realises he's lost any and all credibility so has disappeared into the ether. It's probably for the best as he falsley raised the hopes of those desperate enough to be taken in by him.

With the best possible intentions, my advice would be, don't ask for advice on this BB. It's been proven over and over again that nothing you read on here can be relied on. I have a large holding, far larger than I'm comfortable with and hope for a good outcome. I wish everyone good luck and hope it works out for as many of us as possible 😊

Pearls tead a rule and called it correctly, for which he should never have received abuse. However, he is not a seer, he's an investor with an opinion. Just because he was right once, doesn't mean he'll be right every time.

🤣🤣 as it goes I'm the epitome of patience. I'll give anyone the benefit of the doubt and can let most things wash over me, but my word, Ste is even wearing me down now and that takes some doing. JamBos - I'll assume for the moment this is a genuine account and you're a genuine investor. If so, your post, with respect is absolutely tone deaf and lacks any kind of decorum. Although my personal position isn't too bad (it's not good), there are many on this board significantly underwater and their crime? To invest in good faith in a company they believed in. Perhaps a little consideration would be better. GLA.

I'd be amazed if Wildtiger and their opinion is capable of influencing the SP to be honest.

Unfortunately, THG has a widespread reputation for being a highly disorganised and badly run operation. Sentiment, confidence and optimism plays a large part in investor decisions and sometimes, regardless of numbers, if there's no confidence, there's no investment.

The drop is completely unwarranted. My guess is that it'll be oversold today and will start to pick up afterwards. This is the nature of investing. Not comfortable but completely normal. Log off and do something you enjoy. GLA.

Hi Ephemeral. I'm also over invested, so not gloating. That said, I'm in a position where I have time and don't need the money at present. I wonder if you're possibly allowing your personal investment to cloud the facts. The results aren't horrific. They may not be what rampers hoped for, but they aren't horrific.

You'll find a consensus of views on here. Take no notice because it matters not. The market will decide. GLA.

I hold more shares than most on this board. It's far more than I'm comfortable with but, it allowed me to leverage down to a position, where I'll hopefully get my money back or take a small hit. I say this because I understand the frustrations of retail investors. That said, this board must surely cause much of the frustration. It's like a watched pot never boils. Someone I respect in the investing world once told me, if you're watching your investment day by day, you probably can't afford to be invested. Sit back,log off this site and check in occasionally. I can confirm you'll be happier for doing so. GLA, I hope this works out for as many of us as possible.

I hope today results in a re-rate. I doubt however, that the shorts will get burned. Most hold a long position too and the short position is very minor, despite what posters like to suggest. I hope this works out for as many of us as possible. I still hold significantly more shares than I'm comfortable with.

Oxford. You illustrate my point perfectly. The whole point is, the board only accepts information that appears to confirm it's point. I prefer balance and I'm happy to consider all information. I'm not giving credit to anyone. Let's hope today is a better day and the share price recovers quickly. GLA

Hi Rock. I'm not suggesting anyone ignore the fall, who could? I'm simply saying the confirmation bias on the board isn't helpful. Steve, love him or hate him ,I believe predicted it. Though he has confirmation bias in the negative. My preference is for a balanced, evidence based view.

Again, there's huge disappointment on this board. Now I'm not saying it's been a pleasure to hold, heaven knows it hasn't. However, much of the disappointment seems to come because posters get fixated on an outcome, which isn't evidenced at all, and then become down when the outcome doesn't match their theory. Then along comes City Spy with his handful of followers & everyone gets hysterical, thinking he has some great knowledge. MM has repeatedly taken shareholders by surprise and no-one knows how this will play out. I've got more shares than I'm comfortable with but I'll hold for now. Perhaps the best approach is to stop fixating and wait and see. Good luck all, I hope it works out for as many of us as possible.
