Porky - if you are a ramper then you are one of the elite!
I agree. The recent article re shell was min blowing. Their profits from Q4 last year were about 1.6 billion!! The previous year Q4 profit was about 370 million - thats a staggering rise.
ITV - I agree that sooner of later we need a jv partner. Where I disagree with you is on the timeline. I truly believe a discovery is likely and I think we should try prove that up first before any jv - it would be a huge difference in terms of equity that we would ratio in the project. It looks like they are pretty certain that tai is a winner. Lets see what transpires.
@Dai - I don't really need 2m. But I want it! I have only a few heavy conviction trades. Helium one is my current one thats really at play. My other two - uranium / nuclear and carbon credits will take some more time to develop. So here I am and here I will remain for a while. Macro investment is not a science, its more akin to astrology for grown men / women who probably should no better. I hope my macro calls are right but this isn't really a macro call - its pretty much red or black but I firmly believe that we have the double zeros on our side - lets see!
@sdg - I was long gone by that stage. A buddy of mine form the helium one board gave me a heads up on the oiler. I must admit I liked it. Easy money always attractive. But my uranium / nuclear obsession got the better of me and I needed funds to get back in - was never really seriously considering selling any he1 so the oiler had to go. Glad I did but I would have been burnt hugely. Uranium getting killed lately but it will have its day (decade). My only problem is resisting buying more here. I have a pretty substantial holding but I don't really see another bet (sorry but it is!) that gives the same risk / return profile. My target is 2m shares, im a few hundred thousand short but imagine I will get there if next week stays relatively calm (waiting on someone funds to come in)
Again, good luck all.
@dai - lol. Meet your brother. I have flashbacks of being on a run years ago and listening to a podcast where I heard about this new bitcoin type asset, ethereal, price was 1 dollar. At the time had little funds but could have easily procured a loan from the old man for 10k or so. If I held to the top (which I accept would be unlikely but I am a great holder :) ) would have been about 50 mil or so. Kusama the same, was reluctant to pull the trigger at 2 dollars, hit about 600 dollars, vercrtorspce the same, knew eco and offered me 10 cents per vxv, hit about 14 dollars at its peak - helium one is my most recent full conviction play - my track record is pretty flawless but I don't have much to show for it (apart from uranium miners that made my pension account 5 x in 2020) so lets hope my run continues for all of our sakes"!
@dai - I think there are always clues. Our ability to acknowledge them and act on that info is clearly something lacking in may of us pi's. Lets hope we don't have any of those episodes this year and its like the crypto rappers allude to - "up only baby!"
@sdg - agree but in many cases it can be heavy selling in the lead ups to the rns that can inform us if we take the rose tinted glasses off for a few minutes. Tai 2, Adv, and im sure many others on aim, heavy selling in days leading up to news, if I see it here again I will have to take a view.
@Dai - quite a sickening series of updagtes / developments. Us pi's are little more than conn fodder for the big boys. Hopefully we can have our day with Helium one. In full disclosure, the Tai 2 nonsense really annoyed me. I have out it down to creative inexperience and over enthusiasm. If something similar happens this year I may rethink my strategy. While ima ll for going hard or going home, if I see a big sell off before we are expecting crucial results then I will gift also! Lets see! DM I believe is a decent but relatively inexperienced man. I actually think Ian Stalker is a solid guy and his continued involvement / confidence is important. In saying that, he owns over 10million shares so of course he's going to talk his book. its a minefield, careful where we tread!
@kerrymerry - you've lost me? Erasure? Great band!
@Dai - Yep, I know the oiler you are talking about. I dabbled in a few shares back around last September. I sold shortly thereafter for a small gain as I wanted to get money into a few uranium miners I was interested in. That was a very disappointing outcome and I felt very bad for holders there. It all looked so good but the RNS that came out the day before the real results was a disgrace. Aim really is thew id west. Got to have testicular fortitude for this madness but yet here we all are. Huge gains come at the price of potentially huge losses. But aim is as bad as I have seen with one exception - crypto!! I cut my teeth investing in crypto so aim seems relatively tame:)
Anyway, 5 pounds (love the pounds as im in euro) or bust! Good luck to all!
@Daven - I agree with this. I am in it for the long run also. I have well into 7 figures (shares not capital) and have little interest in derisking as I believe it to be a very unique opportunity. I have had many opportunities to make life changing gains, identified opportunities very early and never fully put my money where my mouth and conviction were. Not making that mistake again.
@Dai - you make a very sensible point and you are right. If it wasn't for my relatively high entry point on my taxable account I might derrick but I can replenish investment funds through business profits so Im happy to let it all ride. The frustratio9n of missing huge gains, for me personally, is worse than losing money. Not for everyone but we have have to play our respective hands as we see fit and as funds / commitments dictate.
Good luck all.
I don't really understand warrants, strike prices etc Dai, could you explain like im 5, which I kinda am in mental age terms!
If he ramps this to 12 pounds I will buy him his own villa in the South of France!
Thats what I was wondering also Dai!
Could the additional free float shares not be reflective of warrants to the new directors? Maybe im totally off side here just putting it out there?
Doubt Russia doing much but posturing. If they were going to invade Ukraine they'd need a lot more troops than that. Deal will be done to placate Putin to an extent and everyone saves face, markets rip and normal service resumes, at least for the next few months, but what the hell do I know!
One of the guys in the telegram group emailed crux and they replied to say that helium one had postponed. No further info but I take that to be a positive rather than a negative.
All we need now is trek back with his 5 pound predictions (I think he's light!) The band are back together. Strange to see this relative strength in broad market sell off. Crux interview also postponed at helium one's request apparently....perhaps too get an RNS out first?
Thanks Russ. Just seems needlessly careless and ultra damaging to his and the company's credibility if he is teasing all this stuff on social media's they approach target depth, just for ****s and giggles and a bit of attention. From my research on DM he's a serious guy, as is the chairman. These things are planned, they are not off the cuff bluster pieces. Interesting times for sure.....
