The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Good morning PAA...many thanks for taking the time to reply...I will pass on your thoughts...I have also highlighted to him that US Corp debt as % of GDP is too high and November seems to be a key month with Trump in the head lights.
I do see 'a possibility' that the $ is suspect to weakness in the mid term...but like I said its not my forte.....
Many thanks again...have a great w/e

A friend of mine has asked me what my views are regarding the 'top heavy' DOW...I'm in no position to give a valid answer as this is certainly not my field. ...please don't shoot the messenger.

...is an area for a likely TORP...in the next couple of days we will be presenting at the conference...I would like to feel that any such take off would follow within a month (just my view)...things are hotting up..and I have every confidence in the BOD and teams.

21st World Congress of Soil Science
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Event
Sirius R&D team will be at the most acclaimed meeting in the area of Soil Science. The WCSS will gather a large number of scientists and industries. It is expected that 7,500 participants from more than 140 countries will attend.
Inappropriate application of nitrogen has resulted in environmental impacts that have led to strict environmental regulation in Europe and elsewhere. Similarly, phosphorus impacts the environment by entering waterways, as a result of soil erosion, causing eutrophication. In England alone, 60% of nitrates and 25% of phosphates originate from agricultural land. At the same time, farmers need to increase yields to be able to feed a world population of 9.8 billion by 2050 whilst being environmentally responsible. Therefore, farmers need to adapt to meet future challenges.
Since food demand will double within 30 years, fertilizer use efficiency is receiving attention. Post-harvest crop biomass is commonly incorporated and is acknowledged as a nutrient source to subsequent crops. The system is recognised as more efficient and less prone to nutrient losses by leaching, for example.
We will be presenting three posters at the congress explaining how POLY4 can help to meet these challenges. Please click on the titles below to read posters:
Improving fertilizer use efficiency with POLY4 – presented by Robert Meakin, R&D Director
POLY4 nutrient movement in soil – presented by Tim Lewis, Soil Scientist
Impact of POLY4 application on soil sodium – presented by Lino Furia, Regional Agronomist (Latin America)

Kspine...there is plenty of information on both Sirius website and POLY4...it explains it far better than I could ever do...along with benefits and costs - in general you are correct that majority of POLY$ will be used in a 'blend'...suitable for the crop to be grown....alongside other benefits of carbon footprint and being accepted as 100%organic, benefits to improving soil structure....all this info is on their websites.
If in doubt you can always contact Scott Yarwood based in London...he is head of Europe (also note his Linkedin profile had him working for ADM - coincidence - my opinion is nope)

The Company received a letter of prequalification of the Project for the UKGS from the Infrastructure
and Projects Authority (the IPA , formerly Infrastructure UK) in September 2015 and a subsequent
letter in August 2016 following discussions with the Company about the Stage 2 Financing plan, with
IPA confirming their intention to support the Stage 2 Financing.

With yesterday's news and naming of ADM...their involvement and timing of such along with second 1/4 earnings reports...and with us looking at ST2 funding and the area around bonds...have you or rather if you look at one of ADM's 'sister' companies ...it has a brokerage division along with client services institutional (plus a whole range of additional services)....any thoughts?

with whats being relayed...there is always the bond issue and arbitrage shorting to cover...once these and any new agreements and bank letters + financing...we will have grown further to production in 2021...it's not without the risks...for my risk appetite I hold firmly...exciting 6 months ahead. PLUS a top quality BOD, any changes they have done have been for the better...a wise and experienced way to look at large projects.
If I had spare funds I would definitely be adding to my already substantial holding.

Chesh - if your fit push...if not grab anyone around you to push for you...if still stuck get wheel chair and use your intuition as to direction and distance to reach desired location...if all else fails...hip flask!

Funnythat....WOW such a comment you should re-think investing...ONLY you know (or apparently you don't) the risks.
Outside the box of market crash, accidents, timeline delays etc etc....I will give you another example for good measure.
'Your wife/girlfriend/mother/child (loved ones) requires immediate hospitalization and operations' - do you sell or not....

Hi Scotsman.
Email sent to my nephew who just happens to work for A&O...and yes I'm Scottish....depending on what he can say and ....

Hi SL
your question - But how does our fertilizer mining project qualify (not pre-qualify) under the following UKGS ordinance and it's remit to support socioeconomic infrastructure?......
Answer= because it is written in exactly the same document that you very kindly wish to quote.
Good enough for me
H1
Hi SL....I can see what your saying...I digged a bit deeper having seen your post...
If I follow the link from here
https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/uk-guarantees-scheme-key-documents
And click on the Allen & Overy doc
https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/209806/UK_Guarantee_-_A_brief_overview_-_Allen___Overy.pdf
Whilst it outlines your findings ...it does go on to say (bottom of page 2) under 'Focus'....the wording
'....or maybe the holder of a right or licence to develop a particular project or exploit a particular asset'
Any thoughts?....if I'm reading this correctly
Also I note that Allen & Overy are our corporate legal counsel...food for thought.
Apologies for not posting much these days but family health issues have and continue to take up most of my free time.
All the best
