Why would you compare a penny share like ZEN, to a index based on non penny shares? -

It's fairly laughable that you attack me for comparing ZEN to other penny shares, and instead seek to compare it to an index overwhelmingly weighted towards the FTSE 100!!

My use of the term penny share was very deliberate, because it encompasses very small market cap. companies on both the main market (like ZEN) as well as on AIM.
Nowhere did I say, or even imply, that ZEN was AIM-listed.

Nice to see Zenith Energy start 2023 with a nice rise on the Oslo Stock Exchange today:-

A good end to the trading year yesterday for TMTA, closing up 1.5p at 19p, it's highest s.p. since the spring.

And it looks like nearly £19K. was invested, in just two trades.

Though interestingly, the s.p. wasn't marked up until sometime later in the day, rising at and shortly after noon, shortly before the market closed early at 12.30p.m.

A new strategic financial investor into a resource company can often be transformative, both for dealflow and the share price, and I would fully expect this to be the case here.

Chinese resource investors often have very deep pockets, so the combination of their money with ZEN's deal-making nous could be a match made in heaven.

In effect it's a joint venture ahead of ZEN's expected acquisitions, which endorses both the probability and quality of these deals.

And one which should accelerate the pace with which ZEN's expected acquisitions are developed.

Ideagen (formerly listed as IDEA), the author of the 2023 predictions human capital report, demonstrates both the superb long term growth potential of this area, and also the very attractive potential takeover upside for such shares.

IDEA floated on AIM in July 2012, ending its first day of trading at 14.5p, and within about a decade had 20-bagged.
Then earlier this year it was taken over at 350p/share: a valuation of well over a billion pounds, compared to its last previously reported annual revenues then of £65.6M.

As I noted in my letter accompanying the financial statements for the year ended 31 March 2022, the termination of the relationship with Greenview Gas enabled the Company to receive a payment of £1.2m from that company by way repayment of the Company's loan to it and interest thereon, together with a small premium. The receipt of that sum enabled the Company to settle all its own financial obligations and leave it with funds that are anticipated to be sufficient to cover the transaction costs of making of the acquisition of the Amcomri Group and leave it with some funds for working capital.

The Board would like to thank shareholders, advisers and others for their continued support and patience during 2022 and look forward to a positive and, in all sorts of ways, better year ahead when the Company will, finally, be able to come back to the market having made a substantial and exciting acquisition.

Overview



· The Board has recently announced the signing of a heads of terms to acquire the Amcomri Group Limited, which is the holding company of a fast-growing, acquisitive group of companies in the engineering and manufacturing sectors.

The Board considered a small number of acquisition candidates, before eventually entering into Heads of Terms with the owners of the Amcomri Group Limited, the holding company of a fast-growing, acquisitive group of quality UK Engineering and Manufacturing businesses. The Amcomri Group consists of nine SMEs acquired over the past five years in those industrial sectors, and has a wealth of experience in optimising business performance. The Amcomri Group primarily provides a range of specialist engineering and equipment services to the power, rail, petrochemical, process and production electronics industries in the UK and Ireland. Within these sectors it offers a range of services and equipment to allow asset owners to extend the operating life of key high value critical assets or associated infrastructure. More recently it has established a second focus area in specialist printing in which it owns a further two operating companies, its most recent acquisition in this sector being Bex Design & Print Limited, a 35-year-old specialist screen and digital print business supplying into the electronics and other industries. ..."

American sales were key to the success of British 150-bagger Pentland Industries, which sold Reebok into the US through its US subsidiary Reebok USA Ltd.

Reebok is an excellent example of how investment into the right new products and services, to supply a compelling trend, can pay off handsomely as sales really take off - as they have been doing for NWT in America recently.

This is shown in NWT's interim results, where the HCM (human capital management) US revenues rose 62%, to £4.209M., accounting for 43.4% of NWT's £9.697 first half revenues.

Reebok is an excellent example of the magic of 'compounding': what Einstein called the eight wonder of the world.

E.g. A company with turnover of £1M. p.a., doubling it yearly for a decade, would have annual turnover of over a billion pounds.

This type of stellar growth is rare though, and investors will pay very highly for it.

Another cybersecurity company, IGP, has also performed well recently, with a bullish trading update and improved interim results, and with some chunky director share buying.

It's s.p. has risen from 38p on 6th. October to 56p today, market cap. £32.6M.

That is a market cap. over ten times higher than NWT's (at 33p), though IGP's full year revenue of £9.9M. is barely half of NWT's expected full year revenue, and IGP's full year pre-tax profit was only £323K.

Like NWT, IGP has been achieving great success in America, which certainly bodes well for NWT's continued security business success 'across the pond':-

Financial Performance

The Company anticipates that FY2022 sales will be no less than GBP11.9m (FY2021: GBP9.8m). This is in line with published OEM forecast production rates which show continued recovery over the next three years. VEL's rise has continued today, and its current market cap. (s.p. 48p) is £17.5M., which is significantly greater than its 2022 revenues, despite the fact that it is loss-making.

Which further highlights the very attractive valuation metrics of NWT.

While VEL's strong recovery and outlook is encouraging for the wider business environment.

And note a couple of particular areas of commonality with NWT:-

• The very bullish expansion in America, where NWT is already achieving huge success.

• The use of an invoice discounting facility, as a very cost-effective finance method.

The floatation of Smarttech247 (S247) last week is further indication of NWT's tremendous security market opportunity and value.

S247's market cap. at its floatation price was about six times its annual revenue last year ... whereas NWT's market cap. is about one sixth of its expected annual revenue last year.

RONAN Murphy’s Cork-based Smarttech247 has floated on London’s Alternative Investment Market (AIM) this morning with a market capitalisation of £37m (€43m).

It values Mr Murphy’s near 70pc stake in the cybersecurity business at £26m (€30m).

Smarttech, which employs 114 people, has a suite of blue-chip clients such as baked goods firm Aryzta, Ervia, Laya Healthcare, ASL Aviation and Kerry Group. ...

“The Covid-19 pandemic has accelerated Smarttech247’s business growth due to the increased number and sophistication of global cyber threats, as well organisations’ accelerated journey to the cloud as a result of, amongst other things, increased remote working,” Smarttech noted in its admission document.

In 2019, the company generated revenue of almost €3.7m and a €204,000 profit. Last year, revenue hit €7.2m and it posted a €1.1m profit.

It said its revenue in 2021 was 20pc more than projected revenue. ...

Smarttech intends to use £1m of the flotation proceeds to support expansion into new products and geographies, while £1.6m will be used for general working capital purposes. It will spend £200,000 of the proceeds on the development of proprietary technology.

Ms Saceanu said this morning that the company’s admission to the AIM market is an “important milestone” for the business.

That is a different matter from the number of shares in issue.

A dual (or tri) listed company will allocate certain of its shares for trading on one exchange, and others on the other exchange(s).
But the total number of shares in issue, traded across all exchanges, is always used to calculate the market cap.

And there's no evidence that it's ever been any different, either for ZEN or any other shares, on any financial website.

In summary, your first two posts on LSE ever (both on ZEN, 14 months apart) were incorrectly claiming that ZEN's stated market cap. was falsely showing as too low.
Ergo, you were misleading other investors with what was a beginner's mistake:-

As a point of interest, if shares in a multi-listed company are 'fungible', which they usually are, investors can apply to re-register shares allocated to one exchange to switch to another exchange. Though a nominee broker might not be willing to do this, if you certify the shares first you can bypass this.)
