Some price action +2.8% and rare burst of trades this morning. Delayed reaction to TLW /Moody's, or rising OP or anticipation of good news on our very own re-fi. Who knows, I certainly don't.
SN is making her leisurely way towards AK and will arrive sometime early tomorrow morning for a possible hookup later in the day.
Looks like we may very close to a start of the offload. SS is inching its way towards AK from a northerly direction into a pretty brisk 18kts headwind.
SS currently steaming out of the Jade River estuary at a sprightly 15.8 kts.
Thank you for sharing your spreadsheet. It has managed to put some shape on the many random thoughts I have had from time-to-time about ENQ.
If you are right we are currently trading at less than this years estimated FCF (assuming production and POO holds up). I am guessing that make us cheap.
It also means we can pay for GE out of FCF and still have some left over to reduce the net Debt.
I've been invested here from the very start and the next 12 months could be the best yet (not a high hurdle but still something to look forward to)
Thanks again Mr T

School opened for anyone with a negative view on ENQ about a month ago already. They have been well schooled for the last four weeks. Making money and not being annoyed by the less well informed sure is bliss and worth the wait.

Interesting summary of some of the many pieces of the jigsaw that one sees on this board from time to time.

I thought she was Belgian but she is actually German
Can confirm that SW Surrey is offering jabs to over 65s. Got a call on Thursday and had the shot yesterday. There were plenty of takers. Pretty slick operation with loads of volunteers for car parking, ushering and registration, with 5 vaccinators probably delivering about 1 jab/min. Great to see.
Almost all of the problem with C19 is with those over 60 - they account for the vast majority of hospital admissions and fatalities. The Government has a duty of care and needs to respond to these problems, hence the lock-down measures. With a rate of well over 2 million jabs a week, the vaccination of the entire at risk group will be completed in a couple of weeks. There is then no need and no justification for most of the restrictions that are in place.
The RB is at a clear 9 month/ post Covid high. Still don't understand why the SP is lagging relative to the RB, other NS stocks, POO etc etc but as I own both I am not that unhappy with the direction of travel.
Some source data for vaccinations in England can be found at https://www.england.nhs.uk/statistics/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2020/12/COVID-19-total-announced-vaccinations-24-December-2020.xlsx. This show that 70% of the vaccinated are over 80. I estimate that this is about 12% of the over 80 cohort. Not a bad start but we need to ramp up the volume to many hundreds of thousands a day rather than in a week. Hopefully the slow start is due to lack of supply and logistical problems and the imminent announcement of the Astra approval will improve things dramatically.
Merry Christmas and hoping for a better 2021 for all LTH Enquesters. Thanks to all those who put in so much effort to keep us informed and entertained.

Let us hope so, and the the Market Makers in ENQ get the email!
The Retail Bond (akak the PIK bond) is at a nine month high at the moment - if only the equity would follow suit we would have a lot of happy Enquesters. I own both so am not entirely unhappy.
My PIK bonds were credited on the 18th Feb and 19th Aug this year. Hope that helps.
Amazing, was just about to post the same when I saw yours. Have passed alongside a particularly annoying stretch of bollards along the Upper Shoreham Rd many times lately and never seen a single cyclist. Almost worth hiring a JCB for the day and accidentally mowing the whole lot down.
The EnQuest RB (ENQ1) is within a whisker of it's June/July plateau of around £65.50. If we see it move above and stay above that level I think it tells us a lot about the long term (positive) future of the company with POO above $50.

I think we have to ask - Why are we having lock-downs ? The virus has the power to cause hospitalizations and fatalities to rise above the norm or the capacity of the health service to deal with. The creates the opportunity for the media, unions, opposition politicians and a whole host of other self-interested parties to crate bad optics for the incumbent government. This leads to the idea that 'something must be done' and this 'something' manifests as some form of lock-down.
Around 95% of the problem of hospitalizations and fatalities lies in the fairly narrow demographic (9m) of those 70 year or older. Once a sizable part of cohort can be vaccinated the ability of any government to impose any meaningful economic restriction vanishes. Whether this can be achieved by Jan, Feb or March we just don't know - but we do know that we are now largely arguing about when it happens and not if. Once the brakes are eased,we have already seen how swiftly economic activity bounces back. In the words of the immortal Jim Morrision
