Absolutely spot on. They could (and should) have done this years ago... so why now? You've answered that question perfectly. Fear is a great motivator - especially to those hanging on to their self-created (but not self-funded) gravy train with all their might and main.

Of course, it signifies nothing and doesn't change a single fundamental thing - except to give TH2 and Ocelot a new and frankly desperately needed substance-free narrative to vigorously misrepresent in their endless rope-a-dope campaign.

Don't be so mean-spirited, Mirasol and at least give him some credit for ambition. The other rampfest he's cack-handedly attempting at the moment is on Cadence, where he's claiming a mere 4 bagger is about to happen. Here with UKOG he's pushing the myth of a 40 bagger at a minimum (or a 60+ bagger, if he's allowing for the issuance of those extra 8 billion shares).

I only ask because I'm interested if your firmly stated conviction is that UKOG's MCAP will be minimum £910 million or minimum £1.47 billion? Which is it?

What I find mildly coincidental is that the vociferously and continually uber-positive Buckwaasobserver and Ozzy52 both just happened to sign up to the LSE BB service on exactly the same day, that being justover 6 months ago on Nov 16th last year.

Although it is inevitably gallows humour, the ever more frantic efforts of TH2 and his boiler room cronies to polish the ever more obviously unpolishable are cause for mild amusement.

It seems very clear to me that those frantically trying to control the narrative and remove all mention of inconvenient truths that throw a less than credible light on ANGS have had swathes of posts removed. Most of yesterday's have been censored out, for example - because it's of course really hard to rope dopes when others are pointing out fully verifiable real-world facts that clash with the Lucan fairytales.

Sageman, you and I share the same hopes, but unfortunately not the same expectations, I am afraid.

Yes, George inherited a pile of droppings, that's fully granted. However, as Roger Daltrey presciently opined, with ANGS it seems very much to be "Here comes the new boss... same as the old boss" and from my very firm point of view, people should categorically not get fooled again.

George has so far done nothing to bolster eithe rhis or the company's credibility during his tenure at the helm. In fact and exactly like previous management, he's actually achieved the revers on both fronts, what with his continually missed promises, the repeated false dawns, the direct assurances that Poundland would only cost £2.75 million to get to first gas and that would be achieved in Q3 2020... and we all know how those have turned out.

Colour me too cynical, by all means - but to me, all the evidence points to marked similarities between ANGS then, ANGS now and the Steve Sanderson perma gravy train that is all that UKOG is ever going to be. If this were a "spot the difference" competition between the two outfits, I cannot come up with anything worthwhile at all.

The trouble is, PIs over there have finally seen through all the years-long smoke and mirrors - and it's kind of hard for Ocelot to spin the fact that they're about to suffer another eyewatering dilution. Yet again.

The similarities with ANGS's utterly consistent modus operandi are as obvious as they are depressing.

Lidsey remains very obviously dead in the water. Geothermal is a minimum 5 year and massively cash-consumptive pipedream based round this year's fashionable buzzword. It still remains all about Poundland.

The biggest chuckle for me was when George attempted to explain zero SP movement on the release of the most recent "financing is (conditionally) approved" RNS. He puts this down to retail investors being distracted by other opportunities, such as bitcoin... seriously, George???

The real reason is as mentioned before - it's ANGS having firmly tarnished itself with "Boy Who Cried Wolf" syndrome. Such is ANGS's lack of credibility - earned through unrelenting non-delivery on anything it has said ever - that the only thing which will start to reverse that is real-world verifiable results, not more puff and spin.

I suspect George knows this, but just can't publicly be seen to admit to it.

Yanis, sadly ANGS is suffering from the (entirely self-inflicted) problem known as "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" syndrome.

Given the company's unrelenting and unbroken track record of non-delivery on anything it's ever said throughout its entire history, I suspect the market in general won't set any store by this latest set of announcements and will (very understandably) wait until there's real-world and auditable proof of something occurring that is set for the first time to produce actual value for investors.

There's a typo in Ocelot's post that needs correcting.

"imho" should have read "impo", standing for (as anyone with more than 5 minutes' experience of this bulletin board already knows for sure) "in my paid opinion".

I see Ocelot (who for recent months has been struggling with no material to spin PR puff and nonsense about) has a new lease of life. Still very determinedly economical with the truth, though.

Brockham's an utter no-hoper, Lidsey much the same and Balcombe has no panning permission (which is a good thing in my book, because it prevents George using it as a distraction and ptetending that it is in any way viable). And don't even get me started on Holmwood or decades-long magic pixie dust geothermal projects in Cornwall.

There is nothing for ANGS but Poundland. To maintain otherwise is to be both deliberately disingenuous, calculatingly misleading and even more obviously a company PR mouthpiece.

For God's sakes, don't start mentioning power stations fuelled by unicorn droppings! Or that'll appear in the next ANGS investor presentation, next to geothermal magic pixie dust decades-long projects in Cornwall.

Interesting that he says "it wasn't always this good looking"... because if we remember the sickeningly sucrose love-in interview with George back in March, back then Malcy was positively gushingly glowing about ANGS and George. In fact, he acted like he actively wanted to have George's babies, he was so moonstruck...

(...as Malcy always is whenever anyone pays for his adoration, because that's the only thing he's got for sale. He's really not cut from the same interviewer cloth as Jeremy Paxton or Andrew Marr, is he?)
